A few weeks ago I received a wonderful gift pack from Yoplait and MyBlogSpark.

It contained a cute insulated lunch tote, coupon for a free cup of Yoplait Lite, a travel utensil set, and a food journal. You will have the chance to win the same prize pack below! I have to say I am in love with my lunch tote! It keeps my food cold for hours on days when I hit the gym in the morning! It is pretty stylish too! Now I will talk a little about Yoplait Lite.

I used to eat Yoplait all the time as a kid but stopped buying it because of the artificial sweeteners and high sugar content. I decided to try it one more time since I had a free coupon. I went with the Blueberry Patch.

I would never normally purchase this over my usual Greek yogurt because….

Sweetened with aspartame..no thanks. For someone who watches calories and does not care about chemicals, this yogurt is perfect. It has just 100 calories per cup.

I also choose Greek yogurt because it has 15 grams of protein where as this has 5 grams. On a more positive note, I do love the taste of Yoplait Lite!

It is creamy and has delicious blueberries throughout the yogurt. As a child this was definitely my favorite because of the flavor. I had no idea what high fructose corn syrup was back then though! Yoplait does suggest that this yogurt is great for people who would normally choose a piece of blueberry pie over a lower calorie snack. It is 100 calories rather than 360 for the pie.

Brush your teeth, chew gum, drink sparkling lemon water, go for a brisk walk……. sometimes nothing works and you just have to give in to temptation!

That lunch tote is adorable, but I’m not a fan of Yoplait Light for that reason too… and doesn’t their yogurt contain gelatin? That’s another reason to stay away from it in my book! Especially when there are sooo many good quality yogurts that don’t use these ingredients!

My way of dealing with temptation is to plan for it. If I’m going somewhere that I have an idea I might be tempted, I decide if I want to partake or not. If I do, then I make cuts at other places in my calorie budget to allow for the temptation!

Temptation is completely mental. As long as i don’t completely tell myself I can’t have it, I don’t crave it as much & I’m more than satisfied with a bite or two.

I outsmart temptation by procrastinating “You can have that if you really want it… tomorrow!” and then by the next day I’ll be like “Ew God I don’t want a hostess cupcake! What was I thinking?!” and eat something sensible yet delicious.

I chew gum. I know it doesn’t work for most people…but it helps me out quite a bit. When I don’t have gum though I down realllllly cold water.

For me not buying it leaves out the temptation. If I don’t buy the bag of chips, tub of ice cream etc it is very unlikely that if I have a craving in the middle of the night that I will go out and buy it.

i usually drink water to crave temptations. because most of the time it’s just that i’m thirsty and not actually hungry. orrrrr, i’ll quickly eat something else. like a bowl of carrots with hummus. i’ll go for something on the healthier side to keep me away from eating the bag of doritos.
