Weekend of Yummy Food and Massages!

Hello all. Hope everyone had a nice weekend! I will start from Saturday since I haven’t been near my computer since Friday night!

Saturday morning I woke up and did some shredding…level 2 with 5 pound weights. I made sure I did it before my massage because I knew I would not want to make my legs all sore after!

The boy and I took the subway into the city after to get a couples massage at Beauty and Wellness Day Spa! We had been talking about getting one forever now so I finally found a place that looked good and booked it the day before! We both had a Blueberry Z-Bar on the way. He also got 2 donuts so I might have had 1! Oops! It was chocolaty and wonderful though!

We walked in to the spa and the outside looked like a doctor’s office so we were a little skeptical. They immediately took us into a nice waiting room. We were the only people in there which was nice. There was a big basket of Quaker True Delight Bars and some type of mango drink!

You know me, I took about 5 bars and put them in my purse! Love that free food! I also poured a cup of the drink.

It was supposed to cleanse and detoxify the body. I took one sip and it tasted like vinegar so I added some water and it was much better!

They took us into the room after and it was so romantic! The lights were dimmed with candles and relaxing was music playing!

We got an hour long hot stone massage because I had one a year ago and it was amazing! I had a guy and my boy had a girl. They were both really great and it was probably the best massage I have had yet! The stones are all warm and feel so good along the body. I definitely was in need of some relaxation! We both want to come back every month it was that good!

After the massage, we went to Whole Foods for some lunch!

I made a nice big salad!

It contained:

  • Spinach/Romaine
  • Broccoli
  • Roasted Mushrooms
  • Roasted Cauliflower
  • Roasted Sweet Potatoes
  • Roasted Eggplant
  • Buckwheat Noodles
  • Wheatberry Salad
  • Quinoa
  • Kidney Beans
  • Black Beans
  • String Beans

They told us that if we donated a dollar to the food bank, we could pick what we wanted from this table!

I got a cupcake and an Urban Detox drink!

We also both got multi grain rolls and garlic hummus to eat with our salads!

Delicious! Best salad ever!!

I had the cupcake for dessert, along with some fro-yo!!

We went to The Lite Choice and I got half Vanilla Bean and half Cheesecake with Carob Chips on top!

YUM! I could eat that every day!!

After dessert, we went to my friend’s house.

I had a beer, or two, or three

We also got my favorite hoagies EVER!

Mine had

  • Turkey
  • American Cheese
  • Pickles
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Sweet Peppers
  • Mustard
  • Lite Mayo
  • Oregano
  • Whole Wheat Roll

With some Cheddar & Sour Cream Baked Lays!

We got home around 1:30 am and made some drinks of POM and Bacardi Razz!

Great mix!

I went to bed around 5:30 and I had to wake up at 10 to go to Long Island on Sunday!! It was my sister’s fiance’s birthday so I had to take an early train to his house. I was SO tired!

I stopped at Starbucks and got an Iced Coffee with Skim Milk, Splenda, and Chocolate Powder.

Along with the Spinach, Tomato, Feta Wrap!!

This wrap is soo good. They toast the whole wheat wrap so the feta is all melted inside. It really tastes like a spinach pizza!

At the house, his mom made us a huge dinner. I snacked on some carrots, grapes, triscuits, cheddar cheese, and hummus all day to hold me over till dinner.

The mom made 2 chickens

Red skin potatoes

Along with salad, steamed veggies, barley, roast beef, and stuffed shells!

Here is my first plate!

I had salad, barley, roast beef, chicken, and lots of veggies! Everything was delicious!
My second plate had more salad, veggies, and a stuffed shell! It was cheesy with spinach in the middle. Sorry no picture! No one there knows about the blog!
For dessert, I had a slice of her amazing chocolate chip banana bread!

Along with a slice of Carvel Ice cream cake!
I could not take pictures of the real thing but it looked exactly like that!! The ice cream cake is my favorite with the crunchies in the middle! Yum! I had a few glasses of wine too. I did not get home till about 10:30 last night and was so tired and passed out right away!
I woke up in the middle of the night kind of hungry, or just tired so I made a PB & J sammy on an Arnold’s Sandwich Thin.
I used Naturally More Peanut Butter and Strawberry Preserves.
Probably not necessary because I was so tired but I just felt like having a snack.
This morning I forced myself out of bed to come to work. I could not get up for the Shred so hopefully I do it after work!
I made some Awake Tea right away.
I was craving eggs this morning so I stopped at Dunkin Donuts and got the Veggie Egg White Flatbread!

Yummy! Always a nice treat once in a while!

I also had a bite of a Blueberry Z-Bar after because I needed something sweet. Nice little change to my usual oatmeal!
I have lots of emails and blogs to catch up on so I am off! Have a good day!
