Weekend of Kittens, Turkey Subs, and Road Trips!

Morning! I thought I’d start off with some pictures to brighten every one’s day!

Aww I miss her. My dad may bring her back to me this weekend if she can drink out of a bowl instead of a bottle!

Weekend Recap!

Just a warning before I even start…I ate a turkey sub for almost every meal! I will go back to Friday!

I got my hair highlighted and blown out after work. It was late so I picked up some Subway for dinner. I was in a hurry because I had Melanie’s engagement party to get to!

I ate it on the train so I couldn’t get a great picture. It was a 6 inch whole wheat with turkey, cheese, lettuce, pickles, sweet peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and mustard. Yummy. I picked up some Reese’s on the way home too!

Delicious!
On the way to the party!

The party was a lot of fun. Unfortunately I missed seeing Dori by 10 minutes! My friend and I left around 2:00 in the morning pretty drunk. We were both hungry by then since Subway was not too filling. The drunk munchies also came into play of course! We walked through Times Square looking for this amazing pizza place we went to a while ago. We could not find it so we ended up in some random one. I got a slice of mushroom, spinach, and cheese!

It was good to me since I rarely have real pizza but it was not as good as typical New York pizza. It seemed like it was sitting out for too long or something.  It was 3:00 in the morning by this point. I should have went home but we ended up in a 2nd pizza place! I got another slice of mushroom!

This pizza was 10 times better! Best thing ever when drunk!

Saturday

I woke up bright and early to go pick up Daisy! There were 3 kitties to choose from but Daisy let me hold her the longest. She was purring right away!

I had plans to go to Towson, Maryland at night to visit my friend Katie from college. I decided to bring Daisy to my house in Philly so my parents could babysit while I was away. My other college friend Kaity came over and we took the train to Philadelphia.

I had my first Peanut Butter & Jelly Larabar!

Yes, it was just as delicious as all of the bloggers say!

We dropped off Daisy and drove my car the rest of the way to Maryland. We stopped at Wawa on the way for the best sub ever. For some reason it is sooo much better than Subway.

It contained turkey, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, mustard, and sweet peppers.

We got to Maryland around 7:00 and went to a bar later at night.

New York Kaity, Me, Maryland Katie. We were all roommates in college by the way.

After the bar, we were all starving since we ate Wawa at 5:00. We stopped at Royal Farms which is similar to Philly’s Wawa. They were out of whole wheat rolls so I asked for whole wheat bread. Instead they gave me white bread but oh well. It was probably a good thing to soak up the alcohol!

Sunday

We woke up and went to Subway for brunch. I was not kidding when I said I ate turkey for every meal. Better than going to McDonald’s though since we were always on the go!

Sunday we all just watched football and helped Katie clean out her old apartment. Kaity and I drove back home around 6:00 at night. At 8:00, we stopped for dinner! Wawa again!

I will not be eating turkey for another month now! I am craving lots of fruits and vegetables!

I got back to New York around midnight. I was a little hungry so I made a small bowl of Peanut Butter Puffins before heading to bed.

You know you love my new place mats!

Where did I get the Puffins and PB&J Larabar? I won a giveaway from Hallie of Healthy Twists!

It included all of her favorite things which happen to be my favorite things too! Thanks Hallie!!

I also came home to some other great packages! Quinn from Daily Moderation hosted a giveaway with awesome running gear!

Really nice Nike shorts, pepper spray which I love because it supports breast cancer, and Luna Moons! Thanks Quinn!

I received two cool items from Navitas Naturals as well.

I plan to cook something fun with the Coconut Oil later this week or next week!

I also received another giveaway prize pack from Leianna at HealthyFitRunner!

Z-Bars, Larabars, oatmeal, popcorn, tea, green tea mints, seasoning, gummi bears…does it get any better?

Okay, I’ve been on some kind of winning streak lately because I was notified yesterday that I won a Core Rhythms workout video from GirlGetStrong.com. I sent them my address yesterday and it arrived today! Very impressive!

I can’t wait to try it out!! I might actually have fun with this one since it involves dancing and making a fool of myself! Maybe I’ll do it tonight because I haven’t worked out since last Thursday!

I hope my winning streak continues because Dori is giving away some of the best workout DVD’s ever!! Enter here!

I had a great dinner last night but I will save that for tomorrow since this is getting too long! I am going to go do some work now! Have a great day! More Daisy pictures to come!

I'm not trying to be a pain, but when you hold a cat or a kitten you should always support its hind legs as their spines are fragile and easily broken. It doesn't look like you're doing that in the photograph. She is a cutie and I know you'll want to take the best care possible of your fur baby!
