Watermelon Vodka in the Park

How was your weekend? Mine was good! Thanks for asking. Saturday was a nice relaxing day at home. Friday night consisted of 4 cosmos so a rest day was much needed on Saturday! I woke up very sore from all of my workouts so I decided to try out my new Core Fusion Yoga DVD! I loved it! I will do a review in a few days but it really helped me feel better.

I made a great breakfast after yoga:

I cooked up a mushroom and American cheese panini! I used 1 egg and 2 egg whites and cooked it in a whole wheat flat-out wrap. I pretty much watched movies all day and cleaned. Gotta love lazy Saturdays. Dinner was an Amy’s Burrito with a Bud Light Lime.

The best part of my day was probably dessert!

Cinnamon baked apples with melted dark chocolate chips. I went to bed very happy.

On Sunday I woke up bright and early for a Core Fusion class with Dori and Angela! The class was intense! We were all completely drenched by the end. A girl came up to me after class and told me that she reads my blog! I love getting spotted. It happened in Whole Foods last week too!

After Core Fusion we went to brunch at Centro Vinotea since Dori had a LivingSocial deal to redeem. The restaurant was really cute.  The windows were open so it was almost like we were sitting outside. There were a few different menus to choose from. We went with the prix-fixed brunch menu since it came with unlimited cocktails! The main menu had no breakfast options anyway. I got a Bellini. One Bellini turned into 3 Bellinis. They were free, why not? It is fun getting drunk at 12:00 in the afternoon.

Our server brought us bread and oil.

I went with the eggs any style. It was supposed to come with bacon but I asked for smoked salmon instead.

The omelet was delicious! There was some kind of cheese in there along with the salmon. I am very picky about my potatoes but really enjoyed these. We got to fill out a survey after eating. Now you can see what we really thought…

We continued our day at Angela’s apartment on her roof! It was really sunny and hot so we took a dip in her new kiddy pool!

The pool was amazing! We relaxed in there for over 2 hours! Oh, I must add that there was a movie filming inside her apartment all day. So cool.

Dori and I left Angela’s a little later and headed to Central Park to see The xx perform a free concert! We stopped at Pump on the way to pick up some dinner and a mixer for our vodka.

Nothing better than Kettle One Fresh Pressed Watermelon Juice!!!

We waited in line for a while while enjoying our beverages. We met a few friends there and found a spot inside. I enjoyed an amazing wrap while waiting for the show to start! We spread out our towel and had a picnic!

My wrap contained tofu, grilled mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, string beans, sweet potato, and guacamole. Heaven.

We had a great time! I really enjoyed the music even though I was unfamiliar with the band!

Our vodka drinks gave Dori very painful hiccups so we decided to cure them with some pizza! We split a slice. It was just enough to satisfy us and definitely did the trick in getting rid of her hiccups.

This morning I woke up bright and early for intenSati. I surprised myself after all of that vodka last night but it’s been pretty easy for me to wake up knowing I am going to such a fun class. Now I need to go get more coffee! Have a great day!

1) How do you cure your hiccups?
