Last night after watching some Lost, I got in bed around 11. I thought my 2 glasses of wine would be enough to make me pass out. Apparently not. At 11:30 I got back up and took a tiny piece of melatonin. This did the trick. I was fast asleep by 12:15.
I had my alarm set for 7:20 which is the latest time possible for me to get up, get ready very fast, and head to work. At 6:05, I woke up without my alarm. This is the time that I set it for when I am planning to do an early morning workout. Maybe my body clock is starting to be programmed for the early routine. At 6:15, I was still awake so I figured maybe this was my cue to head to the gym. I was so sleepy but knew it would be nice to have it over and done with early on a Friday.
I was really hungry when I woke up so I had a half of a GNU Bar.
I got to the gym and decided to do the Fitnessista 30 Minute Elliptical Workout since I was sleepy and knew this would help me work hard. I did the 50 minute version since I had the extra time to kill. I was right about this forcing me to work hard! This was perfect for the morning when I have no motivation! I burned 416 calories. My average heart rate was 159 and my maximum was 185. I would have never burned this many if I was doing my usual workout on the elliptical. I felt like I just got done a spin class!
I had an interesting time in the locker room getting ready for work. This woman was going crazy because she could not find her clothes! She seriously opened every single locker and they were nowhere to be found. She asked for my help and as soon as I walked over, she found them. Then I got her life story about how she has a new guy so he is always on her mind. She said her ex-husband just bought a co-op next door to her to make her go crazy. Her new guy sells diamonds but is a diamond himself! Very interesting people at the gym I must say!
I got to work and made my oats at 9:30. They are the usual, sorry!
