Hello again! I had another relaxing day off yesterday! I could get used to this
I woke up and had a little pre-gym breakfast.
A whole wheat English muffin with Crazy Richards peanut butter and 1/2 a banana. Yum!
I made my way to the gym and did 45 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes on the treadmill. I burned a nice 550 calories.
I then headed into the city to get my highlights. I snacked on a Glo Bar on the way there. Thanks Dori!
I liked the big chunks of apricots in there. It was pretty filling too!
3 hours later, my hair was done! It looks a little something like this (after running in the awful wind):![]()
The front is a bit too blonde for me but I did not want to ruin the blow out and have them tone it down! Maybe I’ll go back if I don’t get used to it.
For dinner I went to a Japanese restaurant in Forest Hills called Narita. I’ve been there once before and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
We started off with Saki bombs of course!!
Along with some delicious edamame.
I got miso soup since I was freezing! It was very good. There were huge chunks of tofu in there. It was not too salty either.
I also got a side salad. The dressing was good but I prefer the orange ginger dressing over the creamy white dressing.
More Saki bombs
For my main course, I got the Super Naruto Roll: tuna, salmon, yellowtail & caviar wrapped in cucumber.
The fish was very fresh and delicious! I don’t think I would get it again because it was a bit too fishy for me. I’m glad I tried it though!
My friend got the Beef Teriyaki.
The beef was delicious! Very flavorful and lean. I stole all of the bean sprouts!
One more shot of my beautiful roll:
We got home and had a dessert shot! I love Bailey’s
A little bit later I had a bowl of chocolate brownie fro-yo. Bad combination with the dessert shot but I could not resist!
Today I plan on going to another Core Fusion class with Dori! My legs are killing me from Monday’s class so it should be interesting!!
Have a good day!

Caviar in sushi? How fancy! It looks delicious.
Your hair looks great. You probably just have to get used to the lighter color.
Enjoy Core Fusion. I should be getting the dvd from Netflix today. I’m looking forward to trying it!

That sucks that they didn’t have the ginger dressing. That’s the best part of salads at Japanese restaurants!

Hello Missy,
I just finished reading your story in Shape magazine. Congratulations on your weight loss and finding a way to stay fit with this blog. I just started a blog as well http://www.nomorethiries.com, and like you, I enjoy trying new things.
I noticed in this blog you mentioned that you did 45 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes on the treadmill…WOW, but I guess that is the way you were able to drop the pounds. I’m still on 30 minutes of either treadmill or elliptical, but I feel I can do more. The pounds don’t seem to be coming off like I want it to and its beginning to be a little discouraging, but after ready this, I am going to be step up my cardio time and reach a new goal. P.S. I’ll be trying that pre-gym breakfast too!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I will go check out yours
Yes I don’t always do that much cardio but I am off work this week so I have no reason not to! As you can probably see, I drink a lot and allow myself desserts every now and then so the extra cardio is pretty necessary in order for me to maintain my weight!

I sampled an Endure bar at whole foods – they are really good!

My friend got her hair a little too light in the front once and she did half-up half-down for a while, twisting a couple sections to break up the color. Then again, that was according to her, and she’s never satisfied with her hair.
