Sun Dried Tomato Hummus and Erin Baker’s Brownie Bites Review!!

Today during my lunch hour, I went to the gym and decided to do Fitnessista’s 30 Minute Elliptical Workout. I have been feeling a little lazy on the machines lately so I knew this would give me some motivation to work hard! And it did…

Stats:

Calories Burned: 237
Maximum Heart Rate: 202
Average Heart Rate: 149

Okay, I really think there must be something wrong with my heart rate monitor. MHR…202?? That can’t be right! Maybe I should reset it or something from the beginning. Not sure!

I came back and ate my tuna sandwich that I made last night!

It contained:

  • Tuna
  • Cucumbers
  • Lettuce
  • Alpine Lace White American Cheese
  • Sun Dried Tomato Hummus!

This was my first time trying the Sun Dried Tomato flavor!!

I took one bite of my sandwich and it had a very familiar flavor but I couldn’t figure out exactly what it was!

I finally realized the hummus tastes exactly like PIZZA!!! It made my tuna sandwich taste amazing!! This might be my new favorite flavor!! I am not sure if they sell it in stores yet but I will definitely be on the lookout from now on!!

What did I have on the side??

The love of my life……POPCHIPS!!

I was craving chocolate after lunch so I had to try one of my new brownie bites from Erin Baker’s!!

I made a cup of Peach Ginger Green Tea to drink with it.

The first thing I checked out was the nutrition facts!

90 calories for a brownie?? Perfect!!!

Ingredients:

Organic Unbleached Wheat Flour, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Organic Raisin Puree, Water, Organic Chocolate Chips (organic sugar, organic chocolate liquor, organic cocoa butter, organic soy lecithin), Organic Cocoa Powder, Organic Inulin, Organic Expeller Pressed Canola Oil, Organic Molasses, Organic Brown Rice Syrup, Organic Dried Whole Eggs, Organic Vanilla Extract, Baking Soda, Aluminum-Free Baking Powder, Sea Salt.

All organic ingredients??? Extra perfect!!!

I was not sure how such a healthy brownie would taste but I took one bite and was in heaven!! You would never know how healthy these things are!! They are soft and moist with a rich chocolaty flavor. The size may seem small to some people at first but they are super thick! There were big chunks of chocolate chips throughout the brownie too! It really melted in my mouth. Next time I plan to heat one up in the microwave and eat it with ice cream! Yummm!! This was the perfect low calorie treat that I needed to satisfy my sweet tooth. I will definitely buy these once I eat my current stash!!!

After work I am probably going to skip the gym because I need to head to H&R Block to do my taxes! I have been procrastinating with it but could def use that tax money :) I also already got in 50 minutes of exercise between the Shred and lunch so I think I am set! The boy and I may have a lovely dinner out after so stay tuned :)

Don’t forget to enter my Mix My Granola Giveaway! I am choosing a winner tomorrow morning!
Angela at Oh She Glows is also hosting a POM Wonderful Giveaway!

Have a good night!!

Just discovered the Sabra Sun Dried Tomato Hummus myself. So delicious. Definitely my favorite flavor from them.

How did the Erin Baker’s Brownie compare to Vitabrownies. I used to love those things, but now they taste so fake to me.

I actually think I need those brownies. The site said they have walnut and mint flavor too — where can I get? Health food store?

Heather: I think they are better than Vitabrownies! They taste a lot more like a real brownie! Do good!

Dori: I have never seen them in a health food store before! Maybe just order online?

Diana: Yes and I am jealous!!
