Spin and some Vanilla Coconut Banana Splits!

Goodeeal Morning!

Yesterday after work, I went to the gym right after work and had some time before my class started so I did 25 minutes on the elliptical. I normally take Kickboxing on Mondays but I kind of did not feel like kicking and doing squats so I chose spin instead! I also had a hole in my stretch pants so I thought it would be better for me to be sitting on a bike!

I was excited to see how the teacher was because I never took spin on a Monday before! Of course it was a substitute! That always happens to me. The guy walked in and did not look like a spin teacher at all. He was very overweight and looked like your average 25 year old guy that would be playing video games all day.

The class ended up being pretty good but he repeated a lot of the same moves. It seemed like all we did was move from position 2 to 3 for every song but with different resistance. He only played rock music and I’m a fan of the techno so I did not love it while I was in there but of course felt great after! I was drenched and am really sore today so I am happy I went!

I got home to a nice big package!

It was 12 bags from Cape Cod Chips!

So many exciting flavors!

  • Parmesan & Roasted Garlic
  • Barbecue
  • Cheddar Jack & Sour Cream
  • Sweet Cream Butter Popcorn
  • Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper
  • Buttermilk Ranch

  • Original
  • Jalapeno & Aged Cheddar
  • Reduced Fat
  • White Cheddar Popcorn
  • Honey Dijon
  • Sweet & Salty Popcorn

Good thing I eat chips every day at lunch!! I will try to review a new flavor every few days!

I was thinking about doing the Shred since I missed it the day before but it was already almost 9:00, I was starving for dinner, and got plenty of exercise so no thank you!

I made my quick and easy meal, a turkey wrap!

  • 2 slice Boar’s Head Low Salt Turkey
  • 2 slices Alpine Lace White American
  • Spicy Mustard
  • Classic Sabra Hummus
  • Lettuce
  • Cucumbers
  • Pickles
  • Whole Wheat Wrap

I also made a plate of cucumbers to dip in hummuson the side! I scoooped out the last of my Roasted Red Pepper Hummus and used some Classic as well.

I brought out a new bag of chips from Food Should Taste Good to try!

Multigrain!

They were delicious! They tasted like a regular tortilla chip but of course much healthier!

From the website:

Flax, sunflower, and sesame seeds add to the distinctively nutty flavor, making the chip a wholesome, perfect snack to be enjoyed on its own or dipped into your favorite hummus.

Recommended Accompaniments:

  • Artichoke Spinach Dip
  • Fresh Fruit Salsa
  • Hummus
  • Veggie Dip

The website was right, they were amazing dipped in hummus! Next time I make Mexican, I would definitely get these over those chemical -added Baked Tostitos I used to buy!

Always a perfect dinner! For dessert I decided to try a new flavor of ice cream from Turtle Mountain!

I only had a little bit of the chocolate left so I brought out the Vanilla Bean to mix with it!

I liked the Vanilla Bean even more than the chocolate! It was smooth and creamy and had a really good flavor even if I am not a fan of coconut! It has great nutrition stats too!

The flavor was so rich and decadent so I felt no need to go overboard with it! I did add some fun ingredients to make it a banana split!

Perfect!

Can you tell I love whipped cream? So good!

This morning I slept through the Shred again! Blah maybe tonight? It is so hard to do at night though because I get home so late from work and the gym! If I take Total Body Conditioning tonight, the Shred won’t be necessary anyway!

I tried to leave a little early today since it is the last day to get $1.00 Jamba Oats but of course my train was delayed! I made my own oats instead!

I used Archer Farms Blueberry Almond Oatmeal, half a banana, and cinnamon.

I added a little bit of my Mix My Granola on top along with skim milk and more cinnamon!

And some Awake Tea!

I will leave you with some contests!

I think that’s a great idea for your trip….and I know EXACTLY what you mean – my mom has been overweight her whole life, so weight/eating in general is always SUCH a touchy subject.

MMmmmm – banana split! That sounds so very yummy. :-)

Oh man, I LOVE those Cape Cod chips… but my husband eats them so quick they don’t stay in the house long enough for me. :(
