Snack Attack

I was right about eating breakfast at 7:30. I was starving all morning! The hunger really started by 10:00 so by 10:30 I pulled out some snacks. First I had some freeze dried bananas and strawberries.

I knew that would not do much for my hunger so I also had a Z-bar.

I wanted to go to the gym at lunch but when 12:00 hit, I was way too hungry to work out! I’m sure oatmeal plays a role in it too. It must be much more filling than a small egg sandwich!

I decided to go to Balducci’s and eat my lunch instead of trying to workout. I watched everyone shop while I ate and read some Fitness magazine.

I brought a Mushrooms Lover Morningstar Farms burger on a whole wheat wrap with hummus, Laughing Cow, mustard, and lettuce.

Very yummy!

I also had some soy crisps on the side.

I was so hungry that when I walked by the salad bar, I got a little something to go with my lunch!

Cauliflower and wheatberry salad!! They seriously have the best cauliflower ever there. They marinate it in some sauce that makes it taste amazing!! The wheatberry salad has dried cranberries and seeds mixed in! I could not resist!

Now let’s see if I can go 3 more hours without gum or another snack. Slim chance!!! I am already having intense cravings for both! I have a mug of water that I keep sipping so we will see! Bye!

I didn’t know wheatberry salad was a thing! Haha I’ve never tried them before. Sounds interesting.

Good luck with the gum cravings!

Eating breakfast so early is hard. At least it’s hard now — when I was in school it was not a problem or something I even thought about! I would eat very early, go to school and had no lunch period (high school), get home about 2 and first eat lunch then! Never a thought about how many hours in between..

You know, I actually don’t have breakfast til 10:30! I have milk and a couple pieces of dried fruit before/after a workout and then shower and go to work. A cup of coffee when I arrive holds me til 10:30 – and eating breakfast then is the only way I make it to a civilized 1pm lunch time! I get hungry so often… Oh and that cauliflower looks rockin.

I have those constant snacking days. I swear some days, I just never filled satiated. As soon as I finish one meal, I’m thinking about the next. It really ties in with my activity level. HIIT cardio days = major hunger. So, I give in and return to the kitchen again and again. Weekends are really bad cause I’ll just eat out of boredom.

Tomorrow will be better – start out with a big bowl of steaming oats! :) Fill that belly with the good stuff!

I think if my fruit crisps had Hannah Montana on them, I’d be a bit creeped out! HA!
