Good Morning! Hope everyone had a nice weekend! Sunday night ended up being a saki bomb night! I went to Chikurin which is a delicious sushi place across the street from my apartment.
Hot saki is the best. It goes down so easy and does the trick right away
I started off with some edamame.
I also got miso soup and a salad with ginger dressing.
I got a Rainbow Roll for my main course. This is one of my favorite rolls! It is basically a California roll wrapped in salmon, yellowtail, tuna, and fish eggs.
As we were leaving, the server handed me a bottle of saki and said it was a gift for Valentine’s Day! Such a nice surprise!
We went to a bar next door after dinner and had one more beer. I may have poured some of my new saki in there
Monday morning was a nice relaxing day off work! I fixed my hangover with a delicious breakfast from Tower Diner!
I got an egg white omelet with mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, and feta cheese. I had some of my roommate’s turkey sausage as well.
Later in the afternoon, we headed to the casino in Yonkers! We had $30.00 in vouchers plus a $20.00 food voucher which expired yesterday! It was great starting with free money. I was up $100 right away but was not ready to leave so I lost it. Oh well! It was really fun. We used our food voucher in the cafeteria. I found a place with whole wheat wraps. I got turkey and cheese and it was huge!

Nice dinner for free
Made up for some of my losings. I won enough last time I was there so I did not feel too bad.

That omelet looks so good. IMO, grease is the best for hangovers and I usually go for a greasy breakfast with homefries, sausage and eggs. And Coca Cola or Pepsi, for some reason I always crave that when hungover.
I love to gamble and fortunately, the nearest casino is two hours away from me. When I lived in Phoenix, we had at least four of them within a half hour!

LOTS OF WATER … for the hang over. I did it before I go to bed and when I wake up.

I don’t gamble…I’m so not a risk-taker and I’m frugal. Bad combo!
I love to eat something disgustingly greasy when I’m hungover. Big Mac’s are the best medicine!

I have yet to find anything that cures a hangover. But what does make me feel a bit better is greasy food. The greasier the better!

Hey girl! It all looks awesome! I really do love to gamble. Im not a huge stakes kind of girl though but I like my blackjack and PaiGow. So fun!! FOr me the best hangover cure is water, water and more water. Gotta flush that out, and usually something carby like a piece of bread. That usually helps me. Have an awesome day!

I’ve only gambled once. I guess it wasn’t fun enough for me to try again haha!
The sushi looks great. I love ginger dressing.

First of all, how did I lose your blog off my reader? I haven’t see posts from you in a while and was wondering what happened! Geez.
I love to gamble! When I went to Vegas, I was pretty much addicted
But I won $250 at a slot machine, so it was worth it.
Best hang over cure: combination of a multivitamin, carbs, bananas and water. No joke, works every time.

free saki?! that’s pretty cool!
mmm tower diner looks divine! i don’t gamble much because there isn’t anything in MA. I am going to mohegan sun soon though so maybe i will win there. I love all things pasta, french fries and bagles when i am hungover!

That is exactly what I would order in an omlette! So good. I usually have a bacon egg & cheese bagel & lots of potato chips when I’m hungover. Although I’ve ready that muffins are the best hangover cure, not greasy fried foods.

mmm, tofu red curry is the best for hangovers! It is actually not that bad for you, but tastes perfectly rich and the spice does wonders I think!

Gambling is fun but as soon as I win any money I walk away, I love free money!
Bacon, egg and cheese sandwich is the best hangover cute in my opinion

fav hang over food or drink would be anything SOLID, no crazy salads or hot sauce. I am talking plain cereal or toast with honey or PB…no roughage

I’ve never had saki.
On my next birthday, that is my goal!
I do love to gamble, but only slot machines and only for like 50 cents at a time. LOL I get mad if I lose a ton!
Hmm….I always ALWAYS crave carbs when I’m drinking/hungover – which is weird because I don’t really eat a lot of them normally?! I LOVE breadsticks, and nothing beats pasta!

I had a similar omelette on Sunday
Delish.
Yellow gatorade for a hangover is a MUST for me. Only yellow! I don’t have a food because my hangovers are usually pretty severe, yuck, and I can only get liquids down!

I have started taking a half of a multivitamin and drinking a TON of water before I go to bed, after drinking too much (not that I EVER do that….) and it really helps. IN the morning I just keep drinking and sometimes take a couple advil, then I’m good! Oh, and some coffee of course, which studies show really does NOT dehydrate you as much as once thought, yeah!
The sushi looks so delicious, as does the edamame. This is one of my favorite dinner combinations. I ask for it every year (sushi restaurant please) for my birthday. Lately I have been getting sushi at Whole Foods and LOVING it. I want to start making my own one day!
Have a great day Missy

I think I’m too cheap to gamble. If I lose more than $20 I pout like crazy!
I’m terrible at avoiding hangovers- I rarely drink because my body usually hates me for it if I do!

When I’m hungover I like to jump right back on the healthy eating train! Fresh fruits and veggies with PUH-lenty of water!

I’m not a huge fan of sake, but I LOVE Asian beers. If you’re ever at a place that has Tiger (it’s a Singaporean lager, and it is delicious), I would DEFINITELY recommend it.
