Hey loves! I am back from Puerto Rico (unfortunately!!) Hope everyone enjoyed the guest posts while I was gone! The weather in San Juan was beautiful and it was an amazing time. I will split my recap into two posts since I have a million pictures! Let’s start with Friday!
I woke up bright and early at 5 am and headed to the airport. I found the rest of the bachelorette party before boarding the plane! We arrived at San Juan around 12:00 in the afternoon and headed to our hotel. We stayed at the San Juan Water and Beach Club. It was so pretty inside!
Everything was blue! This was the bar and lobby.
Our hotel room! Our entire hotel looked like a club!
We were greeted with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries sent by the groom. We popped the bottle open right away before heading to the beach!
We got to the beach and ordered some frozen drinks and lunch.
I forget what this drink was called but it was amazing!
I got a Shrimp Caesar salad with balsamic instead of Caesar dressing. Very fun to eat on the beach!
After the beach we went to the rooftop pool.
View from the pool!
Later that night we went out for drinks and dinner! We started at the Parrot Club in Old San Juan. I got a vodka soda with a splash of passion fruit juice. Delicious!
As soon as we mentioned bachelorette party, the free shots arrived.
Next we headed over to a bar that was “home of the pina colada.”
It was delicious! We made friends with every bartender and waiter we met! They were all super friendly. It was a nice change from the typical New York non-friendly people.
Next we headed over to a restaurant called DragonFly. It was a tapas restaurant that was supposed to be amazing! We ordered a bunch of different dishes to share! They were all extremely delicious!
Rock Shrimp Tempura Tacos:
Shrimp and Lobster Dumplings:
Salmon Poke: sesame scallion marinated salmon ceviche-avocado-platano gaufrettes:
Asian Marinated Churrasco (steak) with wasabi dragonfries:
Tuna Tartare:
Szechuan Glazed Baby Back Ribs with papaya and jicama slaw:
It was all so so good! I also had a few of these:
After dinner, half of us decided to continue our night and went to the El San Juan Hotel.
We found some salsa teachers and danced for a while!
We headed back to our hotel after and went up to the club.
The club had beds everywhere which was really cool. After some more dancing we decided to head back since we had plans for a rainforest tour the next day. Unfortunatelythe club was right outside our room so we could hear everything! We spent about 20 minutes trying to shut the shower window to block out the noise! Then we decided to turn on the heat for minute because our room was freezing. They love air conditioning in Puerto Rico. The heat made our hotel smell like a fire! I went to sleep but one of the employees came up to our room because he smelled the burning! Luckily I missed all of this drama!
The next morning we woke up bright and early for the rainforest! The next night was also the “real” bachelorette party….TO BE CONTINUED!
