Time to recap back to yesterday since I have not posted meals since the pancakes!! I went to Marshall’s and the mall after brunch and got 2 new workout tops and new workout pants! I really do not own any real workout clothes so this was exciting for me! I am sick of having sweat marks all over me! I will be testing the pants after work hopefully!
I did not have dinner till around 9 so I wanted something nice and quick. Of course turkey wraps are always the answer! I decided to try out one of my new flavors of hummus!!
I dipped some cucumbers in there and loved it! It is spicy but not as spicy as the Surpremely Spicy Hummus flavor. It has a slight Mexican taste to it so it will be perfect to eat with Amy’s Burritos!! It gave my wrap a nice exciting flavor!
My wrap included:
- Alpine Lace American Cheese
- Boars Head Low Salt Turkey
- Sabra Chipotle Hummus
- Cucumbers
- Lettuce
- Pickles
Delicious! I also had some Salt & Peppa popchips!
Perfection!
Dessert was a Cookies N Cream Skinny Cow Ice cream Sandwich with a little banana and whipped cream! Gotta make those things fun!!
I got to bed around 12:30 which is pretty late for me on a work night. I woke up at 4 in the morning for no reason. I could not fall back asleep so I decided to try a snack to see if that would help. I pulled out a GNU bar!
I ate it and was still staring at the ceiling at 5 in the morning. By 5:30 I was almost considering going to the gym but I was SO tired. I could not imagine getting all my clothes together and working out. At 6 I decided to try another snack. I know that turkey and peanut butter contains tryptophan which is supposed to calm the brain and help you sleep better. I brought out both and started scooping out chunks of peanut butter and wrapping them in turkey slices.
I ended up eating 4 slices of turkey and tonssss of peanut butter. I was so tired and it was too yummy to stop. Always a bad idea eating peanut butter right from the jar! I also had a glass of skim milk to wash it down.
I was completely full and tried to lay back down. In my head I knew I only had 45 minutes to sleep so of course it was a lost cause! I decided to just suck it up and do day 3 of the 30 Day Shred.
It was pretty hard this morning because my legs are really sore from the first two days and I was half asleep!! I got it done and had extra time before I had to start getting ready for work. I turned on Level 2 thinking I could get in a great 40 minute workout to make myself feel better about all the peanut butter. About 5 minutes into level 2, I started feeling extremely nauseous. I shut the DVD off, ran in the bathroom, and threw up!
Bad idea eating peanut butter, turkey, and milk right before doing the 30 Day Shred!! I was too tired to remember the whole digestion thing!! Man.. I felt awful but forced myself to get it together and come to work!
I was not hungry again till around 10:30 but I knew I would feel a little better if I had a real breakfast so I made oats.
They were Blueberry Almond with 1/2 a banana and cinnamon.
With a nice big mug of Awake Tea!
I felt okay after having some caffeine so I was able to get to the gym at lunch for some elliptical action. I did 30 minutes–2 minutes at level 5 and 2 minutes at level 10. I had my HRM on my wrist the whole time but did not realize I never turned it on till half way through my workout. Oops!
I came back to the office and had a repeat of last night’s dinner but on an Arnold’s Sandwich Thin instead of a wrap!
I love my popchips! Today I had Sea Salt & Vinegar!
I started to feel like I was going to fall over after lunch so I made another cup of Awake Tea. I also had a Brown Rice bar for some chocolate.
