Yes, the title pretty much sums up my weekend! Way too many white carbs and sugar! But I must say it was all delicious.
I went to a family friend’s house Saturday night for my friend’s birthday. We started off with a nice appetizer of grapes, cheddar, and mozzarella cheese. This family buys the full fat kind of cheese which was amazing for a change.
For the main course, they made spaghetti, baked zitti, meatballs and salad. I filled my plate with salad and the baked zitti. I also had a glass of Riesling, or two…

The zitti was delicious! It had so much melted warm cheese inside it.
I filled my plate with a second serving of salad and a few meatballs.

Very good meatballs too!
Dessert was not one, but two Chocolate cakes!!

I had a slice with another glass of wine. This cake was AMAZING. So rich and chocolaty!

After 2 or 3 glasses of wine, the Vodka was discovered!!

I had a cup of Vanilla Coke and Vodka.
About 2 or 3 hours later at 1 am, my friend and I were still awake and got the munchies. We made another Vodka and Coke and brought out the leftover meatballs! I had more salad with about half of those meatballs. So good!

The next morning I woke up to the smell of pancakes!!! I was feeling a little sick from all of the food the night before but I was still up for pancakes!

I has been so long since I have had regular white flour pancakes. I had 4 of them with some butter and syrup. Delicious!
And half of this slice of chocolate cake for dessert!!

That will definitely wake you up at 11 in the morning!!
We sat around and watched the football games all day. Not good when every meal consists of chocolate cake and white bread!! Oh well!
Around 2 I started drinking Coronas!

At 3 everyone brought out the leftover pasta again!!! It is really hard being at a families house that never eats healthy! I made a salad to start with.

The zitti was even better the next day! That always seems to happen with leftovers.
I had yet another Corona after lunch.

The Eagles ended up losing. It was sad

I am from Philly originally so I of course was rooting for them over Arizona.
We watched the Steelers game as well. I was happy they won at least!
Around 7:30, everyone wanted to order dinner. They ordered 2 pizzas!! I tried to be good and order a Grilled Chicken Salad. Of course once I saw the pizza, I had to have some!
I had about 1/3 of the grilled chicken salad and a slice of pizza. So gooood.
About an hour later when no one was looking, I had a second slice. I devoured it. There was also brownies so I had one of them. Not good!!
I woke up this morning around 6 am and came home at 12. I made a nice healthy omelet for breakfast.

It was 3 egg whites with goat cheese and turkey.
I also toasted an Arnold’s Sandwich Thin for the side.

I added some spray butter and strawberry preserves to the toast.

It felt nice to eat something healthy again! I really feel like going on the South Beach Diet after this weekend. I am going out to dinner tonight and Wednesday so I may wait till Thursday to start. We will see. I just need to get to the gym asap!
Later today I will be going with my sister to look at Bridesmaids dresses and then to dinner. For now I am going to take a nap since I have been up since 6. I will attempt the gym at some point but not sure! Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
