Hello! I know I suck at blogging lately but my blog kept breaking every other week so I gave up. After much back and forth with Bluehost, they told me that I needed to get rid of my existing theme and start over. I was pretty sick of my outdated cartoon header anyway so I was not too upset about this. I am slowly working on a new design and made the new header myself! I am pretty proud of it I must say. I will try to be a better blogger now that my blog is actually working.
This post is also a bit outdated (it has to do with the Superbowl) but I was selected as “press” for a special event so it only feels right to blog about it! The event took place at the Gansevoort in Meatpacking and was hosted by GBK, Aruba and DIRECTV.
A Tropical Celebrity Retreat and Gift Lounge was created this week with a mixture of celebrities, athletes and DIRECTV’s special guests including AJ McCarron and Katherine Webb, Deion Sanders, Serena Williams, Nina Dobrev, Desmond Howard, Jesse Palmer, Peter Facinelli, Jessie James, and more attended the GBK and Aruba Gift Lounge which brought a taste of the Caribbean to the chilly Super Bowl Weekend.
A range of great gifts and luxury items filled the lounge including several products which featured personalization including: AllBobbleheads.com, the largest manufacturer of custom bobbleheads in the United States, gifting each celebrity their own custom Bobblehead; American-made personalized tumblers from Tervis; and gift bags with sneaker-related items plus a shoe-customization services gift voucher from DMC Kicks.
I walked into the event and saw a tropical booth set up with a bar and sand. The two winners from Amazing Race were at the booth racing to create the perfect cocktail.
Once they we were finished, they won a trip to Aruba.
I walked around and visited a few other booths and looked for celebrities! There was a Sabra booth with a former member of the Giants (don’t know his name).
I then look over and see the winner of American Idol Season 11, Phillip Phillips! Hellloooo.
No, he would not sing for us.
My favorite booth was the VODKA-FILLED WHIPPED CREAM booth. Yes, this exists! I happily tried a sample and it was amazing. It is called Liquor Whipped and I have no idea where to find it.
Luckily they gave me this to take home.
My second favorite booth was gourmet cupcakes from a company called, Cake That! They gave me two amazing cupcakes to take home with me.
I look over and see that guy from ESPN who is always debating…forget his name!
I visited a few more booths, snapped some photos, and went home to enjoy my cupcakes, vodka whipped cream, and cookie dough protein bars!
The event was a nice way to kick off the Superbowl weekend. It was very cool seeing celebrities where I usually take Core Fusion!
