Hey everyone! Ready for the weekend? I definitely am! The week went by kind of fast but I am ready for a few days to sleep in! I am going to show you some food highlights from the past two days and then move on to some more gym classes I tried!

Breakfast Wednesday and Thursday was a bowl of Natures Path Hemp Plus oats with a banana, skim milk, peanut butter, and Navitas Naturals goji berries!

004

Very fun bowl of oats!

Check out what was placed on my desk yesterday!

009

I had a few bites and it was the best thing ever so I had a few more…hmm probably most of it!!  Oops! I made sure to get in a good workout afterwards to balance it out!

I went to Cardio Kickboxing first since inTensati did not start till 7:30. I hate to say this again but I really did not like the class! It was not nearly as good of a workout as the kickboxing class I usually take at NYSC. We did tons of weird punches and barely moved around the room. Maybe I am just favoring my other class since I am slightly in love with the teacher. A class is always better when there is someone nice to look at! Lol. No seriously, in my usual class we are jumping up and down the whole time, doing squats, mountain climbers, everything! During this class we pretty much just stood in one spot while doing kicks and punches. Boring! I only burned 180 calories compared to the 350 or 400 I burn in my usual kickboxing class. Oh well…inTensati made up for it! It was an amazing workout as usual!

I went home and tried to keep dinner light too. I felt gross from that cake. It was worth but I really should learn how to have a few bites and feel satisfied. I guess I did not learn too much from Bethenny!  Dinner was a Morningstar Farms veggie burger with steamed broccoli, mushrooms, brussels sprouts and squash. My roommate made Korean sweet potatoes so I had a half of one. They are even better than regular sweet potatoes!

011

I made 2 servings of everything and brought the same thing for lunch today!

012

I needed somewhere to sit and eat lunch so I bought mushroom barley soup just so I could sit in the deli! It was very good!

005

006

Today after work I went to another inTensati class! I am slightly addicted. I loveee the teacher I had today. She is all about the extra cardio and calorie burn! She is always so energetic and an amazing dancer; not to mention she just had a baby! It amazes me! She also played one of my all time favorite songs, “Sandstorm” by Louie Devito. I plan to take off tomorrow but hopefully go back on Saturday! My wrist is getting nice and full of black bracelets!

I got home and made a similar dinner to the night before! I had soy crisps instead of the sweet potato though!

007

Fun dessert!

013

Baked apples with cinnamon, chocolate chips, whipped cream, and some sprinkles for decoration! MMM MMM.

Hopefully by now I have internet at work again but I typed this post at home just incase!

1. Do you blog from home or at work (if you have a blog)?

2. Do you prefer to eat a bigger healthy dessert or a few bites of a not so healthy dessert?

1. I usually upload my pictures at home using Livewriter. I type up the rest at work unless I am busy or my internet is broken!

2. I prefer a bigger healthy dessert like my baked apples above . You cannot put a piece of red velvet cake in front of me and expect me to eat 2 bites! Sharing it with someone would also be a good option for me!

Have a great weekend!

Don’t forget to enter to win some Dentyne Gum! I think I just chewed 20 pieces in a row as I typed this. Eek!

I don’t work so I blog from home:) I can only imagine how the internet would call to me during the day if I had a job.

I even found your cake PICTURE tempting! Right now I think I cannot handle moderation. So I would go for the diet dessert. Last night we ate out and hubby and sons had dessert; I couldn’t wait to get home to my SF pudding.

I wish that my gym offered classes. You always seem to take the coolest classes!
I blog from home because I am a grad student and don’t work, haha!
Also, in terms of dessert, it really depends!! I am an ice cream/froyo fanatic and I always go a little overboard when I eat it, but i’m not a huge fan of healthy desserts either, so I dunno! haha…that made no sense!

I blog from home. As far as desserts go, i love dessert. It’s always my intention to have a few bites of a not so healthy dessert, but I end up having more than that :) I used to the healthy dessert thing, but since I’ve started to really love baking, I try to use all the best ingredients and then attempt to eat in moderation. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt :)

  5. I blog from home and work! I also prefer to eat a whole dessert that I am craving as opposed to a few bites of like store-bought cookies.

I think that with all of the workouts you do eating that cake is totally fine! You have been working your butt off and that cake looks delicious! I blog from home.. sometimes if something comes to mind at work I will start typing a post and mail it to myself at home.

OMG what is up with the gum thing? I do the same thing.. whenever I have a pack it’s like I need to chew the whole thing, but ONLY if I am at work!!

Me too! I am usually fine on weekends with only a few pieces but at work..I chew a whole pack!

It definitely seems like half of a small slice of cake is not overdoing it! That seems like a great example of moderation to me!

WOOHOO for Friday! I know I’m looking forward to the weekend! That red velvet cake looks yummy – I’ve actually never had red velvet.

    2. Small piece of the real deal! I don’t crave desserts so when I do, I want the real thing.

Shhh….I blog at work. LOL. I do blog at home a lot too. But blogging or blog reading keeps me in a better mood at the office.

And I think I’d rather have something small and delicious. I hate when I eat too much and my stomach is too full. Even if it’s healthy, I don’t like that stretched belly feeling.

I usually blog from work but that will soon change lol…

I thought those were cookies until I read “apple” ha

I am definitely the same with desserts. Ask me to have ONLY 3 bites of a cake or cookies? yeahhhhh right! Okay, sometimes I have enough self control to do that, but usually not, so I stick to the bigger healthy dessert.

I blog from work and home….depends on how much time I have at either place! But I swear by Livewriter. The pictures upload insanely faster!

that cake looks freaking amazing. no way in HELL would i let that go to waste. :)

  17. Love that cake!

I blog at home. It’s too difficult at work. But that does limit me to one post a day usually.

  18. I do most of my blogging and blog reading at work. I used to do tons at home, but the bf felt neglected.

I don’t eat or order dessert often so when I do, I want to eat the whole thing. I eat a normal dinner and just let myself have the treat. I don’t mind having a food baby once in a while. It’s worth it!

I blog at home. I feel like I’d get interrupted too much at work!
I’d prefer a bigger healthy dessert. I’ve never been the type to be satisfied with 2 bites of a big cake…I’d eat the whole damn thing!

  20. Lee says:

I can never eat a few bites either. I’m with you, I’d rather have a bigger healthy dessert. I like to eat.

I often write a post at work and then email it to myself and when I get home, I add to it.

Damn to that dessert chica! Look awesome.

    1. I’d love to blog at work, but have no internet on my computer there :-( I can read blogs on the work computer though!

    2. I SAY I’d rather have a large healthier dessert, but honestly – my cravings are never satisfied!! I’d definitely rather have a few bites of the REAL DEAL. Unless I”m actually hungry – then I’ll go for a larger snack.

  23. I blog from home and work. Obviously it’s much, much easier to do from home! Sometimes I even pre-write some of my posts so that I can quickly throw them together and publish them at work ;) Even though I have my designated break-time at work, I’m always worried that people are going to see me blogging and think I’m being a “slacker.”

In general, I’d say I prefer I bigger, healthy dessert (VitaBrownies with whipped cream = my heaven!). When I eat a not-so-healthy dessert, it’s too hard for me to stop at a few bites. I know that some people are satisfied by a few bites of something, but it usually just makes me want more. I’m generally part of the “Clean Plate Club,” so a bigger, healthy dessert that I can FINISH is more up my alley ;)

Hey girl!! great sounding classes. Great job on just eating part of the cake. I hate tempatations like that! It can be tough=) Its all about moderation though for sure. The classes sound amazing though. How fun. Its so true that certain teachers really make a huge difference. Gotta find the good ones!
I usually blog at home. I take pics as I can but usually right after work I’ll type everything up from the day.
As far as desserts Im all about eating! So definitely for me I prefer a huge healthy dessert rather than a few bites of an unhealthy one. Plus my tastes have kinda changes so my healthy desserts are what I crave now. Yey! Have an awesome weekend sweetie!

i love making dinner x2 so i know i have good food for lunch the next day! i probably would have eaten that whole slice of cake too. i try not to eat a big dessert during the day cause i always like to eat dessert after dinner but sometimes my office gets especially good treats and i just have to join in!

  30. I’m guilty of blogging from work! It’s just easier that way since me and the 2 other skeezahs are all together during that time.

That red velvet cake looks heavenly. It’s one of my favs! I would rather have a few pieces of that than a healthy dessert, but like you said, it’s hard to stop so I do tend to make healthier desserts to have more often :)

ugh it would be SO hard to go all bethanny on that cake and not eat the whole thing!

i don’t blame you for being addicted to intensiti! it sounds like such a killer workout i wiiish i had the dollers to get a membership to equinox. instead i’ll just have to stick to my whack ass hometown guido-ed out gym haha

  32. Those desserts are staring me in the face, say, EAT ME!! I prefer either a hearty big dessert OR a few bites of a bunch. It really depends on the situation, and what the dessert is! I’m a huge dessert fan, I’ll take what I can get.

I blog from home, but my home is my work…so…I guess I blog from home and work!! haha.

Have a great weekend Missy :)

WOW that is real life spankin good red velvet cake. I’ve never had one that I’d loved, but I’m like you – I love a slightly better dessert that i can eat a lot of…kinda like light ice-cream. hahah Edy’s slow churned light mint chocolate chip is AWESOME…:)

  34. I enjoy some kind of dessert daily. I havea cookie or ice cream…I think it keeps me from mentally making them “bad foods” and I don’t need to go crazy because I can have it any time
