I wish it were the old days when I could turn on the TV and see School Closed!! I looked out the window when I woke up and the snow looked so bad. I went on my company website knowing the office would not be closed but checked anyway just for my own satisfaction. Of course, nothing. So I put on my rain boots and made my way to the subway in the deep snow.
Of course I get to work and my mom’s away message is, YAY! SNOW DAY! NO WORK! Way to rub it in Mom. Maybe I should take her advice and start working at a school. Oh well! Wishful thinking!
I almost passed out on the subway. I don’t know whats wrong with me this week. The extremely tired feeling will not go away. Apparently 9 hours was not enough last night! Saturday can’t come soon enough when I can finally catch up on my sleep.
I got here and dug out my oatmeal ingredients from my desk.
I forgot the cinnamon in the picture above but I think you can tell from below how much I added.
The oats came out great today! The freeze dried apples and Honest Foods bar made it 10 times better than usual.
Of course I made a cup of coffee with it to wake me up a bit. I added skim milk and Splenda.
Don’t forget to let me know if you would be interested in joining my team for the run!

Mmm, coffee.
Sorry you’re still so tired. Almost passing out after 9 hours of sleep doesn’t sound so good. Take care of yourself. Hopefully, you can get lots of rest in this weekend!
Good luck with your 5K training – that is so exciting! Looking forward to reading about your progress.

hey! i need to give that training program to my friend megan– she really wants to start running more, but she ran an entire 5k for the first time this weekend (and has never ran before!) so i’m thinking she’s ahead of the game
about the teavana: you put the boiling water and loose leaf tea in it, let it brew and place it on top of a mug– the tea drains into the mug and the perfect tea maker strains it. its awesome!!

Fitnessista: Wow a 5K without ever running before? Very impressive! I guess some people are just natural born runners! The teavana sounds great!

Yay! I hope you enjoy the plan! The first week was great because it really does start out so slow! The whole thing was very stress and anxiety free for me, though. It’s all about the baby steps!
