No Picture Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! I do not want to be back at work! Oh well, gotta make that $$$! I had a nice product review/giveaway planned for today but I am having some issues with blogger! Every time I try to upload the pictures for the giveaway, I get this error message:

The following images were not uploaded.

005.JPG : You have exceeded your total photo upload quota.

We’re sorry, but you have exceeded your photo upload quota. For more information, check out this Blogger help page.

I went to the help page and had to pay $20.00 for extra storage space! Has this every happened to anyone?? Is there a way to not pay next time?

I payed it since I was in panic mode but it said it would take 24 hours to process so I still can’t upload anything! Hopefully tonight it works again. I will start the giveaway tomorrow if it works!

I will talk about a few things from the weekend that do not involve pictures for now!

Friday night after work I went to DSW for shoes for my sister’s wedding. They did not have one pair of ivory heels! The store was a madhouse anyway so I left after 20 minutes. I ordered a cute pair online yesterday so I am good in the shoe department!

After some shopping, I went to my sister’s work to pick up my bridesmaid dress so I could get it altered. She invited me over for dinner too since I had no other plans. We made a delicious dinner! I wish I had a picture! We made salad, spinach, broccoli, sweet potatoes, and panko-breaded tilapia. I had never had panko before but it is Japanese bread crumbs. They were crispier and lighter in texture than usual bread crumbs. I definitely plan to buy some to try cooking with myself! We also had apples and Greek yogurt for dessert.

After dinner, we watched the first episode of True Blood. I was immediately hooked so we ended up watching 3 hour-long episodes! Finally at midnight I decided I needed to stop watching and go home! I already ordered the next couple of episodes from Netflix! Such a good show! Too bad I don’t have HBO!

Saturday morning, I went to the tailor near my apartment so she could alter my dress. She said she did not have the correct machine to do it, ugh. I went back home and had some breakfast which I will leave for tomorrow’s review!

After breakfast, I decided to go for a run outside. I walked over to Flushing-Corona Park. It was about a 20 minute walk to the park so I got a nice little warm up in before my run. I started to get a cramp while walking so I was a little worried about the run but decided to try for as long as possible.

The weather was perfect outside. It was sunny but there was a nice breeze so I did not get too hot. I also downloaded a new dance CD on my iPod right before so I could have extra motivation. I jogged at a very slow pace and it felt great! I felt like I could run forever at that pace! I was thrilled when I looked down at my HRM and saw that I had been running for 25 minutes! My goal was a half hour but was hoping for a little longer since I wanted to reach 3 miles and knew I was running slower than 10-minute miles.

I reached 30 minutes and was able to keep going! This was the longest I’ve ever run outside! Finally after 35 minutes I stopped because I started to feel a small pain in my knee. It is the same knee I had issues with this time last year so I did not want to overdo it! It is great to know I am capable of a 5K now! I was definitely trying to run too fast before which caused me to get a cramp and get tired too fast. I am fine with running very slow for now! I will try run outside at least once a week for practice!

I have no clue how many calories I burned because I looked down at my HRM half way through and it said my heart rate was 55. Yeah right. It makes me so frustrated. I’ve been trying to call Polar for a month now to trade it in for one that tracks distance but they never ever answer the phone! I left a message today so I’ll see if they call back!

Sunday I went to the gym and did an hour on the elliptical. I had a nice view of “hot teacher” doing a training session so I was able to stay on a little longer :) I burned around 500 calories? Some of the time my HRM went up to 120 and some of the time it stopped so I’ll just estimate haha.

I made a very healthy and delicious meal for dinner last night (I will show you in my next post). I ruined it with a million bowls of cereal after that blahh. I had a coupon for a free box of Rice Krispies so I got this new jumbo multi grain kind. Still horrible for you but the ingredients were a tad bit better than normal Rice Krispies. I don’t even know why I started with them last night after dinner but yeah, I couldn’t stop. Not good when I am trying to eat healthy before my sister’s wedding! I did well with working out the rest of the week so I guess it is not that bad. I just felt like all my hard work was put to waste Sunday night! Oh welll, guess I have to go back to hiding cereal in my roommate’s bedroom!

This morning I woke up early to go to the tailor in my sister’s building in the city. She told me it would be $60.00 which is more than I wanted to pay but the wedding is in 2 weeks so I figured I should just do it there. They pinned everything and then told me it would be $80.00! I told them my sister said it would be $60.00 and that she goes there all the time! The woman told me it would be $40 to shorten it and $40 to take it in. I paid $90.00 for the dress so I was not about to pay $80.00 for alterations! I did not know what to do so I left it there and called my sister. She said that price was ridiculous so she took the dress back from them. Another bridesmaid is shopping around for better prices so I will just go where she goes. Such an ordeal!

It was only 8:00 by the time I was done there so I decided to walk to work! I walked from 52nd street to 13th street! I felt like it was necessary after the cereal last night. It took about 45 minutes and I still had time to stop at Energy Kitchen for my free breakfast sandwich!

I walked in and asked for it and the guy told me the promotion ended last week. I told him that my email says that it ends on the 14th! He asked if I had the e-mail and I said no but I could bring it up on my iPod touch. He said he needed an actual printed version. I told him I got it 3 days in a row last week and never had the printed coupon with me. Finally he agreed and let me have my sandwich! Too much arguing for a Monday morning but I really wanted the sandwich!

Well I think that is it for my Monday monring novel! Come back tomorrow for a giveaway!!

Here is another giveaway in the meantime!

Everyone loves to argue about coupons! Ridiculous.

Bring the coupon tomorrow! I hope it is the same guy.

Yay for the run! I go VERY slowly too so we will prob be at the same pace. I hope we can trade our HRMs in!

congrats on your great outdoor run. I hear corona park is really nice! 5ks are really fun races to run, so don't worry about speed, there will be plenty of people slower than you!

way to tackle that sandwich specialist!

Awesome run!!! Hopefully you can trade in your HRM? I didn't know Polar had HRMs that track distance! An HRM is on my Christmas list (assuming I'm running by then?!).

I hated alterations! I always have to get the extra length for Bridesmaid dresses (I'm 5'9") and then I have to get it taken up because they put 6 inches on the long dresses! Hopefully you can find someone cheaper. CRAZY to spend almost as much on the alterations as the actual dress!!

yeahhhhh…glad you are getting hooked on true blood, its SUCH a great show. craziness. i have no clue whats the deal with energy storage space, but last night when i tried to publish it asked me for an ftp site to store my photos…ummm, huh? i panicked and clicked publish 4 more times before it finally worked…but who knows how long that approach will fend off the error message. computers are too frustrating.
