I have a new favorite restaurant!! Tonight the boy and I went to Cheeburger Cheeburger in Forest Hills. We walk by it all the time but I always refused to go because I thought it was just fatty burgers! I saw on someone’s blog that they had healthy options like veggie burgers and salads so I was all for it!!
It was so cute inside!! It was all pink with oldies music playing. There was awesome decor and bright lights. Our server described it as a carnival!
All of the employees were incredibly friendly!! Our server told us that there were 378,000 milkshake flavor combinations to choose from!! There was also 30 different toppings to add on the burgers! He said if we ordered a 1 pound burger and ate the whole thing, we would get our picture taken. You know the boy was VERY tempted. I stopped him!!
The boy wanted a milkshake and told me to choose the flavor. I chose Oreo Cheesecake!! I should have let him get Creamsicle like he wanted because I ended up drinking 3/4 of the milkshake!! He decided he didn’t like it that much and put it in front of me. Cookies N’ Cream is my favorite thing ever so I could not stop!! It was sooo good.
I tried to redeem myself by ordering a salad!! There was 7 different choices of salads such as a Veggie Burger Salad, Grilled Chicken Salad, etc. I ordered the Grilled Portobello Mushroom Salad!! Then I got to choose any topping I wanted to add for FREE!!! There was 25 different toppings to choose from! Where else in New York can you add toppings for free? Most places charge 50 cents to a dollar for an extra topping!!
I added cucumbers, artichokes, roasted red peppers, kidney beans, guacamole, feta cheese, and sunflower seeds! I was very tempted to order all 25 toppings!!
The salad was huge!! I got it with Fat Free Rasberry Vinaigrette on the side! It was less than 10 dollars too! Amazing!!! Next time I really should just order it with every topping and take half home!! I ate almost the whole thing but I was stuffed after!!
The boy got the 1/2 pound burger!
I had a bite and it really melted in my mouth!! He LOVED it too!
We would definitely come back here! The service was amazing, it was a fun atmosphere, the food was delicious, and it was not expensive at all! My only complaint was no alcohol but I will just make up for that now
After dinner, we walked a little because I felt sooo full from the milkshake and fries! We stopped in Key Foods because I had some Kashi coupons to redeem!
I got 2 coupons for a free box of waffles last week!
I’ve never tried these before believe it or not! Yay!
As we were walking, I saw someone holding The Lite Choice ice cream! I started flipping out because I had no idea there was one in Queens!!! There used to be a Tasti D but it closed months ago!! I told my boyfriend we had to search to see if there really was one around!!
We walked a little and found a little hidden shopping center! Inside…The Lite Choice!!!!!
I did not get it because the milkshake was enough but sooo exciting to know I don’t have to travel into the city to get it anymore!
Back to breakfast since I can’t post during the day anymore!!
Breakfast was some Chobani with an Honest Foods Choco Peanut Butter Bar!
I was not kidding when I said I will be eating Honest Foods bars every day until they are gone! They are delicious so it is not a problem at all!
I also had some Newman’s Own Dried Apples in the mix. Yummm!
With a mug of Tazo Awake Tea!
I did 34 minutes on the elliptical at lunch. That was the extent of my exercising today since I really despise working out on Fridays!
I got back to my desk and had a repeat of Wednesday and Thursday’s lunch but with an a wonderful change! Today I used a Rudi’s Bakery Cinnamon Raisin Bagel instead of bread!
First I spread mustard, Laughing Cow, and Cedar’s Spinach Artichoke Hummus on the bagel.
I topped it with tuna, cucumbers, and lettuce.
The bagel made this sandwich so much better! Raisins and tuna are a really good combination! Laughing Cow is also so similar to cream cheese so it was amazing on the bagel! I used to live on big fat raisin bagels with full fat cream cheese as a kid! Those were the days!! This was a nice, healthy substitute though!
I also had some Michael Season’s Cheese Puffs on the side!
Love these!!
I snacked on the Banana Chocolate JamFraka that Dori gave me last night!
She was right..much better than the Peanut Butter! It was crunchy with little chocolate chips in every bite! Yum!!
I also ended up finishing the whole bag of Newman’s Own Dried Apples. Oops! There is supposed to be 3 servings in a bag. My afternoon munchies took over that little serving suggestion! Could have been much worse though!
I got home from work and had a few packages waiting for me!
The first was Adora Calcium Disks!
Right now I take Calcium + D supplements but it would be much easier to eat them in chocolate form!! I will try them tomorrow since I already took my supplement for the day!
Thde next package was from P.B.Loco!
Samatra Cinnamon & Raisin and CocoBanana!!! I might attack these later tonight! I always see all of the amazing P.B Loco flavors on everyone’s blogs and have been dying to try them! So exciting!
The final package was from……..My Way Cereal! Finally!!!!
After receiving Meghann’s Mix about a month ago by mistake, I contacted the company and they said they would send me my own mix right away. I missed the package delivery a few times so it took forever. I plan to try Missy’s Mix 1 and 2 tomorrow morning so I will reveal my ingredients later!!
The boy and I rented the Notorious movie so we are about to watch it now. He just handed me a Vodka and Crystal Light so now I am a very happy girl.
Goodnight!

Oh my goodness, the PB Loco flavors look AWESOME. So jealous, I really want to try that stuff!
I’m not sure if we have Cheeburger Cheeburgers here in California, but the BF is from Michigan and I remember he told me over the phone that he was going there for dinner one night. I had to have him repeat the restaurant’s name three times because I didn’t understand why he was saying “cheeseburger” so weirdly.

Dori: Yes you would love it!! Lite Choice was on Austin but in this little corner with a tiny sign! I never would have known if I didn’t see the woman with it!!
Thenoviceberker: So funny! I probably would have been confused too!
Jenny: I tried all 3! Chobani is my favorite because it is a lot thicker and creamier. It is also less tart like you said than the other 2! They are all wonderful with some pumpkin butter and chocolate chips of course!! I would def. go for the Chobani though!

That salad looks gigantic and YUMMY!!! I would have a hard time choosing between all those options, probably would just end up telling the server to suprise me! Too many options and I just sit there with a deer.caught.in.the.headlights look!

Oh my gosh, that’s a lot of milkshake flavors! That salad looks delicious, and how cool that you got free toppings! I love PB loco. I just got the cocoa banana, but I’ve never tried the samatra cinnamon one. I’m curious to hear what you think! I have to say, my favorite is their raspberry white chocolate. Yum!

The kashi waffles are pretty good as frozen waffles go. Milkshakes are the best!

Ok, I’m sold – I’ll have to get the boyf to go to Cheeburger with me. He picks me up at the 71 Ave subway stop and I stand there staring across the street and I always look at Cheeburger and think, well that must be junk food, but now I know better – thanks! That mushroom salad looks awesome. And I coulda told you where that Lite Choice is! I know it’s kinda hidden but thank god it’s there. Also, there’s a couple yogurt places on Austin I believe. Yogo Monster and/or Red Mango…?
