Movie Hopping and Saki Bombs!

Good Morning. It is still raining..blah. I mentioned Saturday that I might be going to the Bronx Zoo on Sunday. That never happened due to the weather! The boy and I decided to go to the movies instead!

We woke up and had some cereal. I had some of GraduateMeghann’s Mix of MyWayCereal topped with Zoe Foods Cinnamon Raisin Granola. I guess I should call it HerWayCereal from now on. I don’t think I am ever getting my own mix :(

I topped it with strawberries and skim milk.

Delicious! I had a 2nd bowl of course.

Cereal really is the best thing ever. I probably would have had 3 or 4 bowls if the boy wasn’t there so I really can’t eat it when I am alone!

We went to the movies and saw Obsessed. We stocked up on some fun snacks!

It was hard taking a picture in the dark movies! His legs made a good table. I had both bags of popchips, a few Raisinets and a Twizzler roll. Popchips make a very nice alternative to popcorn!

Obsessed was pretty good. We decided to movie hop on over to X-Men! I usually don’t like those comic movies too much but I really liked X-Men.

By the time we were done both movies, we were starving for dinner! I have been begging him to go out for Japanese every day for a few weeks now. Finally he agreed last night! We went to Chikurin on Queens Blvd.

We started out by doing some Saki bombs!

We got a nice big bowl of edamame.

I also got miso soup. It was delicious on a gross rainy day like yesterday.

I got the Shrimp Teryaki Bento Box. It came with salad, brown rice, a California Roll, shrimp tempura, shrimp teryaki, and shrimp dumplings.

So much food! Everything was delicious! I saved some of it for lunch today. It was pretty hard not eating everything since it was so good. I had Bethenny’s voice in the back of my head to save half my meal. I was definitely full half way through so I decided to listen to her. She probably would have ordered 1 sushi roll and ate 2 bites though. I would not go to that extreme!

We got home and had some sugar-free vanilla pudding!

We also made some vodka and Fuze! Look how pretty I made it!

After 2 or 3 Saki bombs and that drink, we were both a little tipsy! Always fun on a Sunday night when you are dreading work the next day!

I am off to go eat some breakfast! I will leave you with some contests as usual!!

that’s my problem with cereal, too. I can’t have just ONE bowl! too good and too easy to just pour more :)

I’ve never had a saki bomb but I really want to try one. Mainly because I think it’d be fun to say “saki.”

    herwaygranola – lol! I can’t believe you STILL don’t have it…

Sounds like a fun night! I may have to check out Obsessed now :) LOVE those Pop Chips – lucky you to have them in single serving bags – I can easily eat the whole big bag :)
