Monday Night Football
I got some great recommendations yesterday for places to watch the game in the city. I researched places with good food and drink specials for a few hours at work. Kept me nice and busy
Finally I went with Julie’s suggestion to go to Joshua Tree Bar! I checked it out online and the menu looked delicious and it got great reviews.
The boy met me at work at 6:00 and we decided to walk to the bar since the game did not start until 8:30. The bar was about 35 blocks away so we got some nice exercise in! We made it all the way to Penn Station (had 14 more blocks to go) and decided to stop in a different bar for a drink.
We both got 2 Bud Lights. He also ordered a buffalo chicken finger appetizer.
I tried to eat one since I was starving but the sauce was way too spicy and salty. I ended up wiping it all off but decided to wait until the next bar to eat something better!
We walked a little more and stopped in a 2nd bar called Playwright Celtic Pub. We both got a Blue Moon.
The boy tried to order mozzarella sticks or chili cheese fries but I made him wait till Joshua Tree to order more!
We finally got there around 7:30. It is on restaurant row and we decided we must come back and try all of the cute places!
The bar was not too packed which was nice. We sat upstairs in comfortable booths and had a great view of the big screen down below!
Very nice atmosphere! Thanks Julie!
We started off with a Bud Light Lime bucket. It was 5 full size beers for $18.00. Not bad.

The boy started to order nachos but I convinced him that edamame would be a better choice! I can’t resist nachos and would have felt gross after so I am glad he changed it!
It was so good that he got us a 2nd order of edamame!
I was so full by this point from all of the beer and edamame so I decided not to order an actual entree. I agreed to eat all of his fries if he ordered a burger!
The fries were delicious! Nice and crunchy! He said the burger was the best burger he’s ever had! I had to try a few bites!
Yes, it really was the best burger ever! It was thick and juicy and melted in my mouth! He already wants to come back just to order it again! They have a lobster special which I am dying to come back for too!
By the time half time hit, we were very drunk and tired. We could barely finish our beer bucket! Tragedy! We decided to head home and watch the rest of the game in my apartment. Karaoke night was also starting which was not too fun to listen to while trying to watch the game!
I made a friend!
We went down to the subway and stood there for 20 minutes. Finally we realized the train we needed was not running. We had to walk 2 more blocks to a different station. I think it took us about an hour and a half to get home so we missed the 2nd half of the game! All I remember from the subway ride home is blasting my iPod and dancing! People probably thought we were nuts!
We got home and the boy made ice cream. Yeah..he has a never ending appetite. I had one spoonful and passed out!
Morning Workout
I really did not think I was waking up for the gym today! The alarm went off at 6:00. I stayed in bed till 6:20 and decided I made a promise not only to myself but to all of you so I got up! I ended up doing another 50 minutes on the elliptical. I went through 3 bottles of water so I must have been super dehydrated! It definitely helped the hangover!
I’m glad I went because I have another exciting night planned for later! I am going to the 2nd Live the Life You Love event at Saks! Tonight’s theme is health, mind, and body so I am very excited. If any of you would like to go last minute, let me know!

Good for you for feeding the homeless!! This is in regards to the comment on my blog. I should do that, but I really never think to. We always end up eating our leftovers, to save money, but next time we don't, I know what I will do
