Since it is still raining, I decided to stay in for lunch. I originally brought lunch that I packed last night but I decided that since I rarely stay inside, I’d take advantage of the delicious Cafe we have on the top floor of the office.
As soon as I saw this week’s menu, I knew exactly what I wanted:
Grilled Portobello Wrap
with spinach, roasted red peppers, goat cheese & siracha mayo.
I got this once before but it used to come without goat cheese so I was extra excited this time. I ordered it with the mayo and salad dressing on the side.
It looked delicious! I took a few bites and realized, THERE WAS NO GOAT CHEESE!!
I already ate half of the wrap before I realized so I felt funny going back and asking for it. I also did not want to be annoying since I work there. Instead I spread some of the mayo throughout the wrap. This mayo is seriously delicious. I kept dipping pieces of the wrap in the mayo as I was eating it. So great!
I was not completely satisfied when I was finished, probably because I ate the entire thing way too fast. I came back to my desk at 1 and made a cup of Pomegranate Green Tea with an apple.

Hi there! Ugh, I totally hear you on the slow day…or rather a slow week. I think it’s partially just the weather. I am craving summer!
Your wrap still looks good even without the goat cheese, but I bet that was a big disappointment!
Hope you have a nice evening!

As a cheese lover, omitting the cheese is a sin! I would have mentioned it to the cafe… maybe they would do something for you next time you ordered lunch?
Can you beleive the ICE? I nearly slipped walking to the train today! I just read an article on MSN today that said people from queens are happiest with their neighborhoods. And I laughed at this as I slipped on all the unshoveled icy sidewalks…those people must live in a part of queens where they dont have sidewalks covered with ice.

Mo Diva: Yes the ice is awful!! It is impossible to walk down the street around here! I almost just fell 10 times!
