Hello! I had a very productive morning already! I woke up at 5:30, made my cucumber, carrot, romaine, kale, apple, ginger, lime juice, and rushed out the door! After a very stressful subway ride (every train was running on the wrong track), I made it to Core Fusion. I saw Dori as soon as I walked in! We had a very intense class first thing in the morning! My legs are burning right now! It is great knowing I got such a good workout done already. We plan to make it a new Friday tradition since we both dislike going on Friday nights! It was tough getting out of bed but I am sipping on some coffee now so I feel much better.
Breakfast yesterday and today was a fun bowl of oats. Yes, too cold to walk to Jamba Juice! Oh well!

No, I did not eat Cocoa Puffs over my oats although that would be very delicious. I topped them with Sonoma Crisps Raisin Crunch!

I did a review on Sonoma Crisps back in May and decided they were my favorite new snack! The raisins added a nice crunch to my oatmeal. They are only 60 calories for 38 pieces and contain just 2 ingredients: raisins and cinnamon powder! Perfect! Definitely great to keep in my desk when I get the munchies.
For lunch I brought a big salad. Sometimes I feel gross when I eat oatmeal for breakfast and a sandwich with chips for lunch. Hello carbs! I decided to start bringing salads more often.

My salad contained cucumbers, red peppers, carrots, and half of an avocado. I also had some Dr. Krackers on the side for something to munch on.
I keep this in my desk to use as dressing:

Yummy.
I skipped the gym yesterday to meet a friend for dinner instead! We decided on Mary Ann’s Mexican. I ate there a few times before with my parents and really enjoyed it. It was also too cold to walk anywhere else!
I took full advantage of happy hour and got two Corona Lights.

The salsa was delicious! I went a little overboard on the chips. Totally worth it!

I got the Vegetarian Burrito: an assortment of fresh vegetables sauteed with garlic rolled in a whole wheat tortilla, topped with enchilada sauce and soy cheese. Served with brown rice and black beans.

This was delicious! It had squash, onions, mushrooms, and peppers inside. I loved all the melted soy cheese on top too!
I went home, watched The Office, and started to crave some chocolate of course. I made a small bowl of Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Brownie fro-yo with some banana and whipped cream. YUM!

I’m glad I got a great workout in after my nice Mexican and ice cream fiesta!
What is everyone doing this weekend?
I am heading to Maryland tomorrow for my best friend’s birthday! Excited! I might be back to post once more before I go. Have a nice Friday!

Jealous of your Happy Hours drinks. Boston has such archaic laws and doesn’t allow specials on alcohol, just food.

I have been bringing salad in everyday to help me fill up. I usually accompany it with a soup. I feel so much better after eating that for lunch than a sandwich.

Raisins and cinnamon powder?! I need some of those crunches! Your dinner sounds fantastic – that’s the difference between NY and Detroit. If I had ordered that here it would have been zero veggies and TONS of real cheese. Plus Corona Light?! Nice
