Meatball Dinner and Simply Scrumptous Review!

I woke up yesterday and decided to try out my Peanut Butter Larabar!

YUMMM!! I tried the Lemon flavor the other day when the boy ate it but this was much better! It had a wonderful peanut butter flavor and kept me full for a few hours!

I had no time to go to the gym because I had plans to go to Long Island, so I decided on the evil Shred! It has been over a week since I did it so I went back to level 2. I am so sick of it by this point but it still is a great short workout so I am going to try to do it more this week!

I went into the kitchen after to grab a snack before Long Island and saw the light on the mouse trap flashing :( :( !!!! I screamed to my boyfriend and he said there was a big one in there! YUCKKKK!!

We haven’t had mice in about a month, but a few days ago, I saw that one of my Wild Muffin cookies was half eaten! I asked my boyfriend if he had any and he said no. I told him to check the traps because I had a feeling it was a mouse. 2 days later we caught one!! So gross! All I can think about is what I would have done if I went into the kitchen and saw a mouse on the counter eating my cookie!! AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We bought a fresh trap and caught 2 more this morning! AAH!

We went to Long Island after to sit Shiva for my friend’s grandmother. I had a piece of the most amazing chocolate mousse cake EVER! I also had a few bakery cookies and fruit.

The boy decided to make me his famous Italian meatballs for dinner. He has been talking about them forever so I was excited to try them.

We were starving while they were cooking so we snacked on some pickles and mozzarella cheese!

Such a good combination!

The boy started off my mixing a bunch of spices in ground beef and rolling them into balls. I tried to make him get ground turkey or chicken instead of beef but he refused. Oh well, a little beef won’t kill me!

He also cooked up some mushrooms and peppers for me in balsamic.

He used Hunt’s Sauce and cooked the meatballs in it for about a half hour.

We made big salads to go with the meatballs!

Delicious!! They were so flavorful and melted in my mouth!

I had about 4 meatballs and tons of salad. We still have a bunch left that we stuck in the freezer for another night!
We were going to take the subway over to Coldstone after because the boy has been dying for it for a few months now! We stepped outside and it was freezing! He was wearing shorts so we ended up going to the food store instead to get ice cream.
We only had a little Turtle Mountain Cookie Dough left so he said I could have it. He got Ben & Jerry’s Cheesecake Brownie for himself.

Of course I could not let the Cheesecake Brownie sit there so I mixed a scoop in with my cookie dough!

YUMMM! I can’t even explain how good both flavors are!! We watched CSI for a while until I passed out!

This morning I had my alarm set for the Shred but I failed to get up. I have no clue how I did it almost every day last month! It seems impossible now!
I got to work and had a Wild Muffin Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin!

I also brought a Honey Oikos to try!

I took a bite out of the muffin and a scoop from the Oikos before mixing them together.

I thought the Honey Oikos was good but there was a little too much honey in there for me. I think I would prefer to eat plain and mix in my own toppings because this was just too sweet for me! It was still delicious with my muffin crumbled inside!

I actually originally planned on eating a Blueberry muffin from Simply Scrumptious for breakfast!

I took one bite and realized it went bad! I should have put them right in the freezer when I got them but thought they would be okay for a few days. I still had a few donuts left to try but will have to toss them. Now is a good time to do a review on what I did try!

  • Man, my grandmother was Italian and she made the most amazing meatballs I ever tasted, like you had died and gone to meatball heaven. Sadly, she died last year and she didnt leave a single recipe for me so I’ve been trying to figure it out on my own… slowly working my through the meatball recipes here, I still cant figure out what her secret ingredient was though!!!
