Last night I tried the Macaroni Grill Basil Parmesan Chicken courtesy of MyBlogSpark. They also sent me a nice serving dish and pasta tongs!

I haven’t been to a Macaroni Grill in years but I was excited to create a similar pasta meal at home!

The bag contained 2 servings so I made the whole thing and immediately put the other half in a container. I’m glad I did this because the meal was delicious! I am not too crazy about the nutrition facts but eating this one or two nights for dinner will not kill me.

The sodium content is extremely high but that seems to be the case with most frozen meals. I do like that it has almost 30 grams of protein. The ingredient list is also a little long but could be worse.

To make the meal, I cooked the contents of the bag on a skillet and added 1/4 cup of skim milk.

It cooked for about 10 minutes and was ready! I liked how easy it was to prepare. It smelled delicious and my roommate actually thought I was cooking dinner for once!

I paired a serving of the pasta with a salad for some extra greens.

This was such a delicious dinner! It really could have come straight out of a restaurant. I liked that there was plenty of broccoli and chicken mixed in with the pasta. I don’t know that I would buy it again because of the sodium content and long ingredient list but it was definitely a nice treat for dinner!
