Today I skipped the gym at lunch and went to the Pita Grill since the boy came to my work to visit for lunch!
Pita Grill reflects the intersection of different tastes and sensations -healthy California-style cooking and hints of Middle Eastern cuisine – all containing delicious, wholesome ingredients bought fresh from local green markets. It has a hip and young decor and is a great place to have a delicious, healthy lunch!
I started off my meal with a Corona Light! Yes..I was praying that no one from work would walk in and see!!
The next thing I ordered was a Falafel Ball! I wanted the boy to try it since he has never had real Mediterranean food!
Baked Falafel is the big news at Pita Grill– no deep-frying allowed. While other restaurants may offer a similar item, only Pita Grill can boast the use of chickpea flour instead of white. The healthier substitution makes for a tastier meal, enhancing the rich, nutty flavor of the chickpeas and maintaining a touch of sweetness.
The falafel was delicious and I love how healthy it is!! It is only $1.o0 for the ball which is great too!!
For my main course, I ordered:
Grilled Vegetables & Goat Cheese Panini:
Eggplant and zucchini, goat cheese, roasted peppers and arugula, with Kalamata olive spread on ciabatta bread.
I asked if I could have the low carb pita instead of the ciabatta bread and the server told me they have whole grain ciabatta! Very exciting!
It was wonderful! Here is a view of the inside of the panini!
The vegetables had a great flavor and there was huge goat cheese chunks throughout the sandwich! Yum!
The boy got the Half Pound Lean Sirloin Burger! I tried to make him get Sweet Potato Fries because they are amazing at Pita Grill but he got regular instead.
He loved the burger but not the fries since they were big and thick! I knew I was right!!
I ended the meal with another Corona! Shhh don’t tell!
It was fun coming back to work a little buzzed! Don’t worry, I had plenty of gum handy
Now I am just tired since it wore off already! Oh well! I love my Pita Grill! Wonderful lunch!
Tonight I plan to go to the gym after work. On Wednesdays there is either a Spin class or Step class. Last week, the boy and I took Spin and it was good but he saw Step and it looked really fun! I refuse to do it myself because I tried it once and had no coordination! Everyone in the class seemed so advanced! I agreed to try it tonight if he does it with me so we will see! It will be fun trying to keep up with everyone!
Don’t forget to enter my Mix My Granola Contest!
Mom on the Run is also giving away an Honest Kids Pack!
Have a great day!

I really love goat cheese desserts, their are awesome. If I have guests, I just make goat cheese deserts and they love it. Are there any other good uses for goat cheese?
