Luna White Chocolate Macadamia Bar Review

I could not wait to try my new White Macadamia Luna Bar! I pulled it out right after lunch! I always need something sweet so I figured this would be the perfect dessert.

I thought the bar was delicious! It had the perfect crunch to it and a nice amount of Macadamia flavor. I loved the white chocolate that was drizzled all across the top of the bar and coated on the entire bottom of the bar.

The bar did not taste artificial like some nutrition bars do. It also was not overly sweet but did the job of satisfying my sweet tooth. The only negative thing about it for me is that it is slightly higher in calories then most bars I eat. It contains 190 calories, 7 grams of fat, 3 grams of fiber, and 8 grams of protein. I think it would do a great job at keeping my hunger at bay due to its high protein content. It would be a great pre or post workout snack as well. I give this bar a 9 out of 10 and would buy it again in the future!
WORKOUT
I went to the gym during my lunch break to get in some afternoon cardio. I did 33 minutes on the elliptical. I did 2 minute intervals at crossramp/incline: 4/4 and 10/10.
Stats:
Calories Burned: 255
Average Heart Rate: 152
Maximum Heart Rate: 177
After work I will be going to Total Body Conditioning Class so it was nice to get in some cardio beforehand. It has been a while since I have done any type of weight lifting so I am looking forward to the class. I will be dragging the boy along with me again so I can’t wait to see what he thinks!
Lunch
  • Boars Head Low Salt Turkey
  • 1 Slice American Cheese
  • 1 Laughing Cow Cheese Wedge
  • Mustard
  • Cucumbers
  • Lettuce
  • Sabra Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
  • Arnold’s Whole Wheat Sandwich Thin

With a bag of Sea Salt & Vinegar popchips on the side!

I ate about half this bag plus a bite of a banana before the gym since my oatmeal did not hold me over too well today. I better go because my boss is about to come over here to talk to me, not sure about what! I will keep you updated if it is something interesting!

Don’t forget to enter my Country Bob’s Sauce Giveaway! The contest ends tomorrow morning!

I want to try the ThinkThin White Choc Chunk Bar but it has a tiny bit more fiber than I think I can handle.. Sigh. So jealous of all your gym going with the bf, I wish we could go together!

I still have not tried that Luna bar, but I like its nutritional stats. I'll have to buy some soon. I have had the white choc. mac. nut Clif bar, and it was amazing. Thanks for the review Missy. Hope you & the boy enjoy your strength training class tonight. :)

SCORE!!! I just bought that white chocolate macadamia bar today…now it’s going to call my name until I eat it! I normally eat 1/2 as an after lunch treat and then save the other half for the next day.

Ooohhhhh – I LOVE white chocolate macadamia ANYTHING. I don’t know why but I’m a little surprised there’s not more protein compared with some other bars I’ve seen? I still have to try it, though. :-)

Guess I’ll have to try the Luna version now, having tried the Clif, like every one else here apparently! I have a feeling I’ll end up preferring the straight up Clif because it’s more protein for not that much more calories, and is it true that Luna bars tend to be more rice-krispy-treaty than Clifs? Hmm. Texture issues.
