Lovely Friday Night

So far my night is going well. I got myself up and went to the grocery store around 6:00. I had a little snack before I left since I was planning on heading to the gym afterwards and I have been hungry all day!

Plain Chobani, half a banana and a scoop of peanut butter. Perfect pre-gym snack!

I bought some fun food at the store but will not show you my entire list this time so I can surprise you throughout the week! The store was really lacking in certain foods though! I’ll have to attempt Trader Joe’s again on a different day of the week!

I went to Blockbuster, the liquor store, and the gym after food shopping. At the gym, I got on the elliptical. After 5 minutes of it, I was seriously considering getting off and leaving. I just hate working out on Fridays. I decided I should really stay on longer since I had already had about 5 meals so far for the day. Friday nights are also usually nights where I get very tempted to wander into the kitchen if I am home by myself.

Once 20 minutes went by, I was more energized. I ended up doing 45 minutes total and then going home. I was pretty hungry by the time I got home at 8:30 so I decided to make these:

It’s been a pretty long time since I have had hot dogs but recently got a craving for them. I am not a huge fan of this kind because they contain nitrates, but they only have 40 calories each, and taste good… so oh well! I did try the Smart Dogs that are all natural but they do not taste nearly as good as these.

I made my usual veggie mix for the side. Tonight was edamame, broccoli, and cues:

I also toasted a slice of bread for the “roll.” I put some mustard and ketchup on top of the dogs, added some BBQ soy chips, and a pickle on the side:

This was a great dinner! I wish I was at real BBQ though!

After dinner I made a nice dessert of plain Chobani, grapes, and chocolate chips:

This is the perfect dessert. The plain flavor of Chobani is so similar to ice cream. Thick and creamy and not bitter like other plain flavors of yogurt.

Once “my visitor” arrives in an hour, our night will include:

While drinking….

And chasing the rum with….

And finishing off with the best thing ever…..

Yes, I broke down and bought ice cream. He loves it, well so do I…but I usually cannot have it in the house without going crazy. I am completely fine around ice cream when I have someone else to control me so I am very excited! I wanted to try the new peppermint flavor but my supermarket did not have it. Chocolate Fudge Brownie will definitely do!!!!
