Remember this morning when I said I was about to get a banana while I blogged? Since a mouse came into the kitchen 2 seconds later, I never got the banana. Instead I had a very random snack at 7 in the morning!
Popcorn!! I got this a few weeks ago at Self Workout in the Park. It is really good!! It kept me satisfied till I got to work too!
I made the same bowl of oatmeal as yesterday, but it looked much more appetizing today!
So much banana and Barney Butter! Yum!!
With a mug of Tazo Awake Tea!
I thought it was going to be a boring day at work since I had to train for 4 hours. I ended up getting it done in an hour so I just played online for the other 3 hours. I did not get a lunch break since it was a half day so I snacked on a bar instead!
I loved this bar! It reminded me of a Larabar but a little bigger.
By the time 1:00 hit, I was starving!! I pulled out some Sahale Snacks Almonds for the subway ride home!
These were glazed almonds with cranberries, honey, and sea salt. I was not too impressed. They tasted pretty weird to me. I have a few more flavors to try still so I will give them another chance! They did do a nice job at keeping me full for a few hours though!!
When I got back to Queens, I got a manicure, pedicure, and my eyebrows waxed! I figured I would start the weekend out by pampering myself!
I got home around 3:15 so hungry since I did not really have a full meal since breakfast. The bar and almonds just didn’t do it for me!
First I pulled out some Parmesan Garlic popchips!
I decided to make my new favorite lunch…PB & J! I have sooo much peanut butter in my apartment right now so I really need to eat it every single day! No complaints here!!
I have no problem at all eating this for lunch every day! I tend to eat the same thing for a few months until I get sick of it so watch out! Breakfast has been oatmeal, lunch has been turkey, but now it will be peanut butter and jelly!! Yay!
I really did not feel like going to the gym since it was so nice out!! The boy and I decided to go to Flushing Meadows Park and rent bikes! We rented them for an hour! It was so much easier than Central Park because there was a lot less hills!
By the time we were done walking to and from the park and riding our bike for an hour, I burned 460 calories. I was so eager to make it to 500 so I decided to leave my HRM on while I went to the market! By the time I was back from the market, I burned 600 calories! Who needs the gym??
(Dori….they had like 10 tubs of Raspberry sherbet at Associated!! I thought of you!!!)
I got back starving for dinner!! We decided on turkey and ham wraps!! Okay..so maybe I am not quite sick of turkey yet!!
My wrap included:
- Boar’s Head Low Salt Turkey
- Boar’s Head Low Salt Ham
- Alpine Lace White American Cheese
- Mustard
- Sabra Sun Dried Tomato Hummus
- Lettuce
- Cucumbers
- Banana Peppers
- Whole Wheat Wrap
It was vodka, some sort of orange omega-3 drink mix that I got as a sample, POM, and blueberries!
I had Sea Salt & Vinegar popchips and cucumbers on the side to dip in the hummus!
We wanted another cocktail after dinner but we realized we were out of chasers!! I happened to see some Jello in the cabinet so I said, “How bout Jell-0 shots!!??”
First we boiled water and stirred it in the Jell-O.
We then added a cup of vodka to the mix!
We poured the mix into cups and added blueberries!
We stuck the shots in the fridge and had some Bud Light while we waited for the Jell-O to harden!

ah i love those almonds – i just recently tried the PB&J flavor.. anything with the word "glazed" in the title is a-okay in my book.. oh, and jello shots are a-okay in my book too

Sounds like such a fun weekend so far! I love it when you exercise and it’s more fun than work!
I’m hooked on the wraps, too. They are the perfect lunch food.
