I finally have Internet! I forgot how boring work was without blogs! I can finally talk about my exciting weekend now.
Saturday we had plans to go to Coney Island since it was nice out and I’ve never been there. We woke up and had a quick cereal breakfast.

I had a bowl of Meghann’s MyWayCereal Mix. I stole some of the boy’s Honey Combs too!
Oh man, sometimes I just forget how great kid’s cereal really is. Bowl #2 had even more!
We got to Coney Island after an extremely long subway ride…hour and half at least! It was sooo windy but I was very happy to see a beach!
I was even more thrilled to see a boy wearing a popchips shirt in a rollerskating rink!!!
I really wanted to go rollerblading! So fun!
We walked out to the end of the pier and almost got blown over the edge!
We were both starving for some lunch when we got there. I walked up and down the boardwalk trying to find something other than pizza, sausage, and hot dogs! The boy was trying to convince me that I would not find anything healthy. Finally I spotted a grilled chicken salad from this little Mexican place!

The boy got sausage so I stole all of his onions and peppers. Not bad!
We also both had a
corn on the cob!

He is terrified of heights but I forced him on the
Wonder Wheel.

(My fake having fun face). I was more scared than he was! I did not realize we got on the carts that rock back and forth so I gripped onto him and hid! I am so scared of rides sometimes. He could not get me on the roller coaster!
We played a few games. I won cherry candy and a stuffed tiger..oh yeah. We saw the freak show which was kind of sad because there was a cow on display. It was deformed and had an extra eye and nose but I felt so bad for him! There was also a giant rat so I ran far far away!
We left after a few hours and decided to go to the Empire Casino for the rest of the night. We stopped in the city for a quick dinner before getting on another hour long train ride.
We went to a cute little place called Cafe Metro.

They had pizza, wraps, make your own salad and pasta, and tons of desserts!
I was going to make my own salad until I saw this:

It had grilled vegetables, hummus, eggplant, salad, and toasted pita points.

It was delicious! It was better than any salad I would have created! I love spreading globs of hummus all over my lettuce.
Of course boyfriend had to get dessert! He brought over a piece of
Oreo cheesecake!

We split it and it was totally worth it. Yummmm!
We took a train and a quick bus ride to Yonkers to get to the casino.

We went outside to the race track before gambling so I could see the horses!

We decided to bet on 2 of the horsies.

We lost
We went back inside and started the gambling!

We started out on regular slots but we kept losing so we moved to Video Poker. All of the sudden I got 4 Aces and won
$200.00!!!!!! It was so exciting!
The boy kept losing and losing but we kept playing. He was down to $30.00. I think he started with $100 or so. He starts screaming out of nowhere and I look over. He got a
royal flush! How much did he win????…………

Yes,
$1,250.00!! It was amazing! If he would have played with 20 credits instead of 10, he would have won $5,000!! Everyone surrounded us cheering for him. So great!
We had a few beers and shots after that to celebrate! We gambled a little longer but did not lose anything. Very nice to leave the casino $1450.00 richer!
In other $ news, I got the eBay money for the iPod back today! I also got the 4th of July cruise money back a few days ago so it’s been a less stressful week!
We got home around 4 am from the casino. We were starving again so we had some more cereal!
Sunday morning we woke up and had cereal again (same as above). We went to
Bed Bath and Beyond to get a table for the backyard but ended up at the mall clothes shopping. Still no furniture for outside but at least I got new gym and work clothes!
We decided to celebrate our winnings and go out for a nice Japanese dinner at Chikurin!
Saki Bombs!
I started with
miso soup.

And
edamame!

I had to show the boy’s meal since it looked so good! He got
Salmon Teryaki. Look how much salmon they gave him!

The best part was that he does not like bean sprouts so I got to steal them all. So good.
I got the Shrimp Teryaki Bento Box!

I substituted the tempura for an extra sushi roll! I got a
California and Vegetable Roll with brown rice. It also came with salad, shrimp dumplings, and amazing shrimp teryaki.

I love that they pile on the mushrooms! We had plenty of leftovers for my lunch the next day!
We came home and needed something sweet. I had a little fat-free chocolate leftover and he bought some Ben & Jerry’s as well.
I combined the two with some banana and whipped cream to make the perfect sundae!

I am proud of myself because he went back for a second bowl but I resisted! I was so full from dinner. For once I listened to my hunger cues! Very rare when ice cream is involved!
What a lucky weekend. I am already dying go to back to the casino but I know the chances are low to win again so I am staying away for now! I am off to go catch up on the blogs I’ve been missing out on!

That's so cool that you actually won at a casino. Are you going to put the money away in savings or do something with it now?
I LOVE Japanese food

OMG, I don't even know where to start on my comment for this post. So many things!
Okay, first of all, a Popchips shirt? Uh, I didn't get one, SO UNFAIR! I'm emailing them!
I love how your always mixing cereals – I never think of that until I get to the end of the bowl and then remember!
I think you both should plan a vacation with the casino winnings! Minneapolis is nice this time of year (hint hint)
AND…Shrimp Teryaki Bento Box looks so yummy! Huge platter with a ton of food, I truly would eat IT ALL!

Holy crap!!! That is AWESOME! Wow, if I even win $10 I'm a happy girl, lol. Gambling is just so much fun. Glad I don't live too close to a casino or else you would seriously probably find me there every day after work.
And I agree with your comment on my blog…I'm MUCH happier with my bowl of ice cream at then end of the day, too. I'm a megabitch without my sweets!!
