Interview and Lunch

My cousin just sent me a picture from Saturday Night from my sister’s engagement party! Here it is since I forgot my camera!

That is my cousin’s daughter, my sister, my sister’s fiance’s niece, and me! The little girls were attached to us the whole time on the dance floor. So cute!

Onto this interview…no no, not a job interview! Haha in this economy? Not happening! But yes, a blog interview!!!!

Yelena at One Healthy Apple was kind of enough to interview me today!

Questions for Missy:

1. If calories didn’t count, what would be your ideal day of eats?

This is easy! Breakfast—Banana, Chocolate Chip Challah French toast with loads of powdered sugar and syrup!!! Snack—Oreo Cupcake! Lunch—Chicken Fingers and Fried dipped in Honey Mustard! Snack—Thin Mints!! Dinner—Spinach and Mushroom, Goat Cheese Pizza!!! Dessert—Cookies N Cream Blizzard from Dairy Queen!! Okay now I am hungry.

2. You stay really active on a regular basis. What is your favorite exercise at the gym? Least favorite?

My favorite exercise would have to be a plank. I do not really like doing abs myself but the plank is something I can do on my own and really feel in my stomach! My least favorite are squats and lunges! Ouch!

3. You are quite fabulous- what is your morning beauty regimen like?

Aw thanks! If it is a good day…I wake up and go to the gym before work!! I shower and then feel like I accomplished something for the day! Most days I wake up at the last possible second, rush to get dressed, iron my hair straight, put on some makeup, and run to the subway!

4. Since you lost weight after High School, has your confidence increased? Also, has anybody not been able to recognize you since your transformation?

Yes, I do feel more confident since I lost about 20 pounds since high school. I ate very unhealthy and never went to the gym in high school. I am much thinner now but at the same time, I think I had a healthier relationship with food back in the day. I never used to feel guilty when I ate all the bad food. Maybe because I didn’t know any better? I am trying to work on the guilt that I feel when I overindulge and just think of it as a treat that I deserve. I have this fear of getting back to how I used to be which is why I am so hard on myself now. In general I feel much healthier and energetic since I work out a lot and eat healthy.

5. Do you think you have any celebrity look-alikes? If so, who are they? If not, which celebrity’s style do you like most?

I am told almost every day Jennifer Aniston or Sarah Jessica Parker. I enjoy the Jennifer Aniston comments!!

6. If you could pick a super power, would you be invisible or fly?

Hmmm, both would be very handy. I would have to say fly as long as I can go as far as I want. I would fly somewhere hot every day!! Take me to the beach!

7. Lastly- do you have any special talents that very few people know about? If so, what are they?

Honestly, I can’t think of anything!! Oh wait, does colorguard count? I can spin flags and rifles very high in the air while dancing underneath them!!

That was fun. Thanks Yelena!!!! Here’s the rules to play along:

1. Leave me a comment saying, “Interview me.” If a few people want interviews, I will randomly pick 2.

2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. (I get to pick the questions).

3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.

4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview others in the same post.

5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Lunch Hour!!

It stopped snowing so I decided to go to the gym at lunch. I am not going after work because my roomy asked if I wanted to cook with her tonight. I turn her down sometimes to go to the gym which I hate doing. Yes I am upset that I will miss Kickboxing but sometimes it is important to not let the gym interfere with friends.

I got in 25 minutes on the elliptical so there is nothing to feel bad about! I did 2 minutes at level 5 and 2 minutes at level 11.

Stats:

Calories Burned: 205

Average Heart Rate: 154

Maximum Heart Rate: 183

I am so lucky to have the gym right near my office! I came back and ate some lunch!!

Tuna, Goat Cheese, Red & Green Peppers, and Mustard on Arnold’s Sandwich Thins!

The addition of the peppers was delicious! Very nice change to the usual cucumbers!

Veggie Krinkle Stix on the side!! Love these!!!!!!!!!

And some of my mom’s homemade chocolate for dessert!!

I also just had another Brown Rice Bar just out of boredom! Oops! No more snacking so I can save my appetite for dinner!

Bye Bye!

oooh I love your answers! (But don’t interview me. hahaha)

I’m so much like you!! I turn down friends to go to the gym…or delay dinner – which is WORSE because we end up going at like 9:30 and eat at 10:30. GAAAAH. And like you, I feel like i had a healthier relationship with food when i didn’t know the “good” from the “Bad”, but obviously that was back in the chubby days. *sigh*

P.s. thanks for sharing that picture!! Everyone in the picture is Gorgeous!! :) It put a smile on my face.

Those are such fun questions!! LOVE the question about what you’d eat for a day – hell yes to Thin Mints (just got 2 boxes) and Cookies N’Cream Blizzards. And I LOVE plank, too. I love it because I can do it while I’m watching TV – without dying.

You girls look so pretty in that picture! It makes me excited for wedding season so I can dress up. :-)
