Hurricane

HuHello! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I did not do much until Sunday night so I will recap back to that! I went with some friends to Restaurant Row. We originally just planned to have dinner at Joshua Tree. We split a Coors Light pitcher and started off with their delicious edamame.

002

The Coors Light did not taste good at all but we got it since it was on special for the football game. We decided to try another place that looked fun next door after finishing the beer and edamame. We went to Bourbon Street bar which was obviously packed since New Orleans was playing! It was crazy in there! Lots of yelling! I got the famous Hurricane.

003

Delicious. It tasted like pineapple juice but was very strong! I kept dinner light since I was drinking a lot and already had some edamame. I got a Grilled Shrimp salad with mango, avocado, onions and honey mustard dressing on the side.

004

This was the perfect salad! Anything with shrimp and avocado makes me happy. I did not need much of the dressing but it was really good.

A few drinks later, the table decided to split a dessert.

006

Brownie with vanilla ice cream and powdered sugar. The brownie was not warm which was a little disappointing but it was still delicious of course! Those hurricanes are dangerous. I will leave it at that! Fun night though!

Monday

I tried to eat nice and healthy yesterday after all of the drinking and dessert the night before! The gym also did not happen over the weekend. Oops! I probably needed the break since I went every single day during the week.

Breakfast was a bowl of oatmeal with Fage, goji berries, and banana.

007

I loved the addition of the Greek yogurt. I decided I should do it more often instead of just adding milk since it has so much protein. It made the oats super creamy too!

For lunch I stopped at a deli and made my own salad.

008

It contained tuna, peppers, broccoli, chickpeas, cucumbers, and carrots. I also had an apple and a GNU bar later in the afternoon.

After work I went to inTensati! It was another great class. The room seemed extra warm and the windows got all foggy! Everyone was super drenched. After our crazy cardio, we did tons of push-ups and planks. It was HARD. The floor was all slippery so I kept falling over during these walking push up things. I burned 416 calories by the end. I will be going after work again today!

The gym was right next to Whole Foods so I had to go!

009

I got cabbage, spinach, baked tofu, carrots, beets, sprout salad, edamame, and broccoli. Never gets old.

I am off! My computer was just fixed but of course now I have a ton of work that does not require the Internet. Always works that way. Have a good one!

Love shrimp/avocado salads, too! You eat the most amazing-looking salads. I live in Georgia and have never seen salads at restuarants look so beautiful and healthy. They are usually loaded with bacon, cheese, fried croutons, and ranch or honey mustard dressing. Might as well eat a burger. :)

  17. haha, I wish MY work didn’t require the internet! It’s so distracting sometimes. But that’s my own fault.

Love your salad creation. Tuna in a salad is one of my favorite things ever.
Ugh, HATE Coors Light. I’m such a beer snob. I only drink the best, no lights for me! Not good for the belly, but my taste buds love it :)
