Hot Chocolate and Snow!

First… I need everyone’s opinion. I have been going crazy looking for a dress to wear to my bf’s holiday party. I just browsed through my roommate’s closet and found this:

I know it is hard to tell but does it look appropriate? I may just get one more as a backup because my bloated stomach shows. I just have to seriously not chew any gum on Saturday, or just wear some tights to hold myself in!! I know you can’t see it but trust me, it poofs out. Let me know what you think!

Back to food….

Around 4:00 at work, I was having a major chocolate craving. I had already finished my Cocoavia bar around 3:00 so my only other option was…HOT CHOCOLATE!

One good thing about my work is that they have Regular and Sugar Free Swiss Miss, so at least there is a somewhat healthy option! I made 2 mugs of the Sugar Free, but only needed 1 packet, along with an apple:

This did the trick! I was just missing out on the marshmallows!

Around 6:45, I got to the gym. I was able to fit in 30 minutes on the elliptical since my train ride took faster than usual to get home. I then did a Total Body Conditioning Class. We had a different teacher today but he was great!

We started off doing laps around the room and jumping every couple minutes. We did this for 5 minutes and it really got our heart rates up. We also had little relay races which were fun. After 15 minutes of what seemed like a boot camp class, we went to the weights and bars. Great class!

He was also teaching a 30 minute Ab class right after and it was starting while I was still stretching so I decided to stay! I usually dread doing abs but he made the class go by very fast. Very nice workout.

I walked outside at 9 and…

There was snow all over the cars!! Keep it coming!! No work tomorrow please! Wishful thinking…I know….

By 9:15 I was starving!! I still had a little bit of leftover pasta to use up:

It was not that much so I decided to make lots of veggies so the meal would be more satisfying. First I heated up some frozen broccoli:

Then I sauteed mushrooms and squash on the stove with spray butter:

And mixed everything together:

Yum! I also added some salad and Parmesan cheese to the mix:

It was great! I used to make veggies on the stove all the time in college until I discovered frozen veggies. I am definitely going to go back to the stove more because it tasted nice and fresh, and there is no risk of finding wood in my food!!

For dessert I tried Strawberry Chobani!! Of course with grapes and chocolate chips:

The strawberry flavor was of course, delicious! Nice big chunks of fruit in there. Now that I have tried every flavor, I think peach is my favorite! It seemed to be the thickest consistency out of all of them. I think I would still buy plain more frequently though since I like to add in chocolate anyway and do not need the extra sugar. They are all so good for when I need some variety!!
I also added in a tiny of scoop of this while I was eating dessert:
My roommate just bought it and was standing next to me making PB & J sandwiches so she asked me to taste test it. The only ingredient in it is peanuts! It was very good but took her about 10 minutes to mix it together to get the consistency right.
I am all done dessert but foresee a little more chocolate in my near future! Maybe it was my long workout or the pms..still…but I am having major cravings! I’ll let you know tomorrow!
