I’m going to talk about some highlights of my week!
First off…..blog makeover!!!
I want to thank the Blog Fairy for my cute new blog design. I love it! The Blog Fairy always comes up with the most creative layouts and responds to my e-mails right away! I definitely recommend her if you are thinking of giving your blog a makeover.
Food Highlights!
On Tuesday, I went to the Lobster Place for some lunch.

I got a Salmon Cobbsalad. It contained avocado, bacon, hard boiled eggs, tomato, and olives which I did not touch. Olives are my least favorite food! The salad was delicious though! I love all cobb salads!
On Wednesday I went back to the Chelsea Market but went to Hale and Hearty Soups for a salad!

I got the usual: avocado, edamame, broccoli, carrots, and cucumbers with carrot-ginger dressing. I had some 7 grain bread too. Yum!

As I was leaving Chelsea Market, I noticed that a One Lucky Duck is opening there! Exciting!
Last night’s dinner beats it all. Saki bombs at Chikurin!!

I started with miso soup.

Edamame…

My friend and I shared steamed broccoli and lots of it!

I went with the seaweed salad instead of the regular green salad. Check out the decoration on top!!!

It was prepared just for Missy Maintains! The portion was huge so I saved most of it for lunch today. I wanted to save room for my sushi!!

Rainbow Roll=best roll ever! Delicious dinner! Especially after having about 5 saki bombs!
I had this little guy for dessert:

Promax sent me a box of these last week to sample. I like that they are only 70 calories but they are pretty small.

Here is one next to a Larabar so you can see the size difference.

They are perfect for after a meal when I need something sweet. I love pretty much anything cookies n’ cream so I really enjoyed the flavor. There was crunchy chocolate on the inside and icing on the outside. Unfortunately there is a big reason why I would never go out and buy these:
INGREDIENTS:
PROMAX™ protein blend (non GMO soy protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, calcium caseinate, hydrolyzed whey protein concentrate), corn syrup, fructose, yogurt coating [sugar, fractionated palm kernel oil, nonfat dry milk, yogurt powder (cultured whey protein concentrate, cultured skim milk and yogurt culture), soy lecithin, salt, natural flavor], water, Dutch processed cocoa, cookies (wheat flour, cane juice crystals, canola oil, Dutch processed cocoa, salt, sodium bicarbonate), canola oil, natural peanut butter, guar gum, oat fiber, non GMO soy fiber, beet fiber, and natural flavor. VITAMINS & MINERALS: Dicalcium phosphate, magnesium oxide, ascorbic acid, d-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, electrolytic iron, niacinamide, calcium pantothenate, vitamin A palmitate, zinc oxide, copper gluconate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin, thiamine mononitrate, folic acid, biotin, potassium iodide, and cyanocobalamin.
The ingredient list could have been a whole blog post in itself! How could there be so many different things in a 4 inch bar?? FAIL!
I’ll stick with my usual desserts from now on….

Apples with chocolate chips, Oikos yogurt, and apple butter! Yes please!
And the final highlight of my week………………………

Have a good day!

Beautiful layout! I love it.
I’ve never had seaweed salad. What’s in it, I know that’s a silly question, but what kind of dressing is on it, etc..?

I’m not really sure but I looked up a recipe for seaweed salad:
3/8 oz dried dried wakame
3 tablespoons light soy sauce
3 tablespoons rice vinegar (without seasoning)
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 scallions, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon finely grated ginger
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
It is yummy!

Hi there – I found your site by way of Dori! We’ve been having a back and forth about bloggy stuff and she sent me a link to your site. Your kitty cat is adorabe!! And you may have just sold me on the Blog Fairy. I’m not loving my generic WordPress layout – and the Fairy’s prices seem fair. Thanks for the info.
