Halls Refresh Review and Giveaway!

You may remember my review and giveaway of Silk Heart Health milk last week!

When the giveaway ended, I promised you a repeat giveaway! Why? The first batch of coupons got stuck at the post office since I was not home to receive them. Jason was nice enough to send me a 2ND batch of coupons. Well, I ended up receiving both sets of coupons (about 20 of them) last week! I really do not need 20 free half gallons of milk so I decided to give away more coupons this week! There will also be extra surprise goodies which I will talk more about below!

Jason sent me samples of another product to try yesterday called HALLS Refresh.

Last night I tried both the Juicy Strawberry and Tropical Wave.

I loved the little specks in the candies!

They were both delicious and refreshing. I think most people would expect them to taste like a cough drop since they are made by HALLS but they were more like a fruity hard candy. They lasted pretty long too. They were great at moistening my mouth and were a yummy treat after dinner. I’m going to be honest here and say that I don’t think I would purchase them for a few reasons.

1) The ingredients:

Tropical Wave: Isomalt; Less than 2% of: Acesulfame Potassium, Beta Carotene, Blue 1, Blue 2, Natural and Artificial Flavoring, Red 40, Soy lecithin. Sucralose.

Sugar-free products usually bother my tummy because of the artificial ingredients. I’ve been trying to eliminate them and stick with clean, real foods.

2) I typically don’t ever want hard candy. I really only crave gum when my mouth is bored or dry. I am also trying to decrease my gum intake because of the artificial sweeteners.

For people who like hard candy and mints, this is a great product.
