Gobble Gobble Lunch

Thank you for all of your support about my neighbors. I wrote a nice letter to stick under their door tonight so I will keep you updated about what happens. The building should really put carpets in for us if the noise is such a problem.

At lunch I walked around outside for a little. Rite Aid is having a nice buy one get one free sale on Maybelline so I got 2 eyeliners for the price of one :)

I brought a lovely sandwich from home.

*Boar’s Head Low Salt Turkey, Fat Free American Cheese, hummus, mustard, lettuce, and cues on Arnold Sandwich Thins. MMM.

Of course with a bag of Popchips! Anyone sick of seeing me eat Popchips every day yet? I still have a lot more bags to go so sorry!

I picked up this little brownie on my way back to work.

Chocolate with peanut butter chips in the middle :)

Not too bad for a 100 calorie brownie!

Today after work I will be going to my sister’s birthday dinner. We are going to a place called Divine Bar in Midtown Manhattan. It looks very good so I am excited!

I have lots of work ahead of me so I better go.

Divine Bar West is AMAZING! Great place for dinner, drinks, or happy hour with friends. They also do wine tasting classes which are great also. Enjoy!!!

I’ve been reading your blog for awhile now and I keep hearing you mention tanning. Are you actually talking about tanning in a tanning bed? If so, I can’t believe you would place that much risk upon yourself. Using a tanning bed as little as once per month increases your chances of malignant melanoma by 55%. That is the most deadly form of skin cancer…imagine what the odds are for someone who goes as often as you do! If the disease should spread, your 5 year survival rate is only 30%! Do you really want to take those chances? My uncle was diagnosed with Stage IV malignant melanoma at the age of 33 due to long-term sun exposure in his teens and 20s. Luckily he is still surviving but could have (and could still) die and leave behind a wife and 9 year old little girl. I hope you choose to stop doing this to yourself and educate yourself on the risks you are taking. Talk to any dermatologist, read information on the web, do something, but don’t continue to kill yourself.

Mary: I am completely aware of the risks of tanning. I have not gone once in the past two years. I happened to have a free week so I went a few times this week. I visit the derm. regularly for skin cancer checks and will not be going anymore once my week is over. Thanks for your advice but I am completely aware that it can be harmful.

I’m totally not sick of seeing Popchips because I have heard they are awesome but still have yet to try them! I must pick up a bag next time I see them.

    That brownie looks amazing!
