Last week I received bread, wraps, and bagels from French Meadow Bakery.
About French Meadow Bakery (from the website):
Since 1985, French Meadow Bakery™ has used top-quality all-natural ingredients to create innovative healthy bread products and sweet goods known for their great taste, texture, and functionality.
Our award-winning organic, yeast-free, Gluten-Free, vegan, and kosher parve foods are certified by top agencies, and we use the latest nutrition research to create performance foods.
We’re committed to using ingredients and processes that help maintain the biological diversity and productivity of our planet’s resources, and we support small organic farmers in our ongoing quest to create great-tasting baked goods for the health of your body, mind, and soul.
The first product I tried was called Our Daily Bread.
Soft, sprouted whole grain bread made with CoroWise™ plant sterols for lowering LDL cholesterol and coated with chia seeds for a crunchy bite.
This product is: Good Source of Protein, Low Glycemic, Vegan, Yeast Free
It has nice nutrition facts too:
I love that it only has 1 gram of sugar and has lots of protein for 2 slices!
I used Smart Deli Bologna to make a wonderful sandwich on the bread. The bread was soft and had a great taste to it.
I loved the crunch of the seeds throughout the bread. I’ve been wanting to try chia seeds too after readig about the benefits on other blogs so this is a nice easy way to get them in my diet.
Next I tried the Hemp Tortillas.
Full of protein, fiber, and a dense concentration of vitamins, minerals, and essential amino and fatty acids, Hemp Tortillas keep your engine running all day long. Hemp Tortillas make the ultimate sandwich wrap, breakfast burrito, or homemade tortilla chips.
I love that 1 wrap is only 120 calories and 8 grams of protein! The wraps ae the perfect size too. Not too big but not tiny. I made one of my famous turkey wraps!
Delicious! The wrap held together nicely too for it being smaller than usual. I would definitely buy these again!
The product I was most exited to try was the hemp bagels!
I am in love with bagels but obviously do not want to eat the white flour huge bagels every day! I am always looking for a nice alternative bagel that is made from whole grains with natural ingredients. These were perfect!
They were also huge for just 280 calories!
I added Apple Butter and P.B.Loco CocoaBanana Peanutbutter to the bagel for yesterday’s lunch.
So good!! The bagel was crunchy and delicious!
I was definitely impressed with all of the French Meadows products I tried. They can be found at Whole Foods and most health food stores.
I also drank one of these with my bagel
Let me rewind back to yesterday’s breakfast now! I brought my 3rd and last Jay Rob protein powder.
The Chocolate Whey Protein was definitely the best out of the 3 I tried. I really was not thrilled with the Vanilla and honestly can’t understand why tons of bloggers rave about it. The chocolate on the other hand was delicious. It was like drinking a milk shake!
I had an Amazing Grass bar with it as well.
After work, I went to Whole Foods with the boy because I had a gift card and a bunch of coupons to redeem.
I made the best salad ever!
- Spinach
- Steamed Broccoli
- Feta Cheese
- Falafel
- Edamame
- Salsa
- Guacamole
- Green Beans
- Baked Tofu
- Zucchini Pasta
- Cabbage
With another Synergy Kombucha!
I left there with lots of great freebies!
I used 4 free Lightlife coupons and got 2 different types of Smart Strips, Smart Deli Turkey, and more Smart Ground Mexican.
I also had a Buy 1 Get 1 Free popchips coupon!! The new Sour Cream N’ Onion flavor is amazing by the way!
The Synergy Kombucha were 2 for $5.00!!! Normally just 1 is that much money at some places!! I seriously need to go back and get more! I just could not hold them all! So fun finding food deals!
We went to Tasti D Lite for dessert!
I got 1/2 Vanilla Marshmallow and 1/2 Chocolate Peanut Butter with baby chocolate chips! A few M & M’s made there way onto my cup too but no complaints here!
I came home to 2 HUGE boxes!
It was from Miguel’s Gourmet Food products! 10 bags of tortilla chips, 10 jars of salsa, and 6 bags of plantain chips! Amazing!! I think I might turn into a jar of salsa! I am either going to have a giveaway or a Mexican party, or both! Stay tuned for a review!
We stayed up till midnight watchind Definance after WF. It was really good! I slept in and skipped the gym this morning. It felt nice to get that extra hour of sleep! I will probably go to Total Body Conditioning after work to get some weight training in. Back to spin tomorrow morning!
Lunch time so I am off! Have a good day!
There is one day left to enter my Amazing Grass Giveaway!
