Finally I can upload pictures again! That means it is GIVEAWAY DAY!
Last week, I received 3 products from a company called FlaxMatters.
Flax Seed Pancake & Waffle Mix
MeadowPure Ultra SmoothOmega Milled Flax
Milled Golden Flax
The first product I tried was the Milled Golden Flax.
About Milled Golden Flax (from flaxmatters.com):
Pre-milled for your convenience, Pizzey’s Premium Milled Golden Flax is easily added to bread dough, pasta, casseroles, salad dressings and sandwich fillings, or you can sprinkle it over hot or cold cereals and yogurt. Combined with water, it can also be used as an oil or egg substitute when baking.
Pizzey’s Premium Milled Golden Flax is known for its superior quality (18-24% Omega-3 ALA content), pleasing flavor and long shelf life (2 years with no refrigeration necessary). Our patented MeadowPure™ cleaning and selection process screens out immature or damaged flaxseed of diminished nutritional value.
I decided to include it in my green smoothie!
A close up of the flax for you
I used an Amazing Grass packet, banana, Almond Breeze, and tablespoon of flax.
Definitely an easy way to get my omegas for the day!
Next I tried the Meadowpure Ultra SmoothOmega Milled Flax.
Pizzey’s Premium MeadowPure™ Ultra SmoothOmega™ Milled Golden Flax has a super-fine, velvety-soft texture that mixes quickly in beverages, smoothies, sauces and yogurt-or anything else you like On Saturday, I tried the Flax Seed Pancake & Waffle Mix!
I decided to try this in a protein shake!
The shake turned out delicious! It was like a chocolate-banana milkshake! I could not taste the fish oil from the flax at all! Yum!
Pizzey’s Premium Pancake and Waffle Mix makes it easy to get a nutritious start to your day. We’ve added MeadowPure™ milled flaxseed to whole wheat and other ingredients so you can enjoy a delicious breakfast that is a rich source of Omega-3 ALA, calcium and iron. Serve with your favorite toppings or fresh fruit.
Above is all of my ingredients! The recipe called for 1 egg, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 cup of milk, and 1 cup of the pancake mix. I decided to add some chocolate chips and P.B Loco Cinnamon Raisin peanut butter to add some excitement to my pancakes!
It said to blend the pancake mix, oil, egg, and milk in the blender and let it sit for 2 to 3 minutes after.
I added some peanut butter and chocolate chips and began cooking.
The box said it would make 5 to 6 pancakes but I think it made about 10 or 15! I had leftovers which was nice
This was my first plate. I added syrup and some spray butter.
They were great! They came out soft and perfect! The best part was cutting into them and finding a chunk of peanut butter with raisins in it!
I was very close to devouring all of the pancakes but managed to leave myself 4 for Sunday! I ate them with an omelet and more peanut butter and jelly on top!
I could eat peanut butter & jelly chocolate chip pancakes for every meal of my life!
I was very impressed with all of the products I tried from FlaxMatters and can’t wait for the weekend so I can make more pancakes!
