Hello on this yucky Saturday! I don’t like this cold weather! I’ve been home all day cleaning so at least I am being a little productive! The worst thing ever just happened though! I was doing laundry (3 loads) and a fish oil supplement must have gotten mixed into my laundry basket! All of my clothes smell like fish now!! Blahhh. I have no more quarters either. What a pain!

So yesterday I attempted the whole oatmeal in a peanut butter jar trick for breakfast! I put a packet of Arrowhead Mills oats in my almost finished peanut butter jar and put it in the microwave for a minute. I looked in after 45 seconds and the oatmeal exploded everywhere! I took it out and the oatmeal still seemed very watery. The jar was burning hot so I just let it sit. After 3 minutes, the oatmeal became nice and creamy!

Delicious! So fun digging into all of the melted peanut butter at the end! Now I know to only stick it in for 20 seconds or so at a time! I enjoyed some POMx coffee as well!

I had peanut butter and jelly for lunch so no use in showing a picture of it for the millionth day in a row!

I got off of work at 4:00 and had plans for my friend Kaity to come over around 6. I decided to squeeze in a little gym workout before she arrived. I thought I would only have a half hour but I ended up doing 50 minutes on the elliptical!

Stats:

Calories Burned: 420
Maximum Heart Rate: 183
Average Heart Rate: 159

I did intervals at level 6 and level 12 so my heart rate got up pretty high. It felt good to get in an intense cardio session!

Kaity came over and we decided to pick up some alcohol and dinner and bring it back to my apartment. We knew it’d be a lot less money than going out to eat.

First we picked up a few Sparks since we were both extremely tired from working all day!

I had 2 of them and got a nice buzz! We also picked up Chinese food! Perfect for a rainy day.

I started with Vegetable soup. Yummm!

I also got Steamed Chicken with Mixed Vegetables.

They made me get a 2 person sized order since it was from the diet menu. Lots of leftovers!

We picked up some beers and walked over to her sister’s house which happens to be right down the street from me! I don’t have cable so we had absolutely nothing to do at my apartment. We watched Rachel Getting Married (kind of weird). After drinking about 6 beers, we stumbled home in the rain!

It was 2 in the morning by this point so we both had drunk munchy attacks. Good thing we still had Chinese food!

I still have even more left for dinner tonight! I’m excited.

This morning I woke up and had a light breakfast so that I could go to the gym.

I had about half of the POMx coffee since I was pretty tired from all the drinking last night! The banana toast hit the spot!

I did another 50 minutes on the elliptical! I was going to do the Shred too when I got back but I ended up collapsing in bed so that did not happen.

I made a nice turkey wrap for lunch.

It had mustard, Sabra Supremely Spicy hummus, lettuce, cues, low-salt turkey, and American cheese.
With some Miguel’s tortilla chips on the side to dip in more hummus!

Dessert was a Vitatop and grapes.

As I was digging in the fridge for the grapes, I got up and smacked my head really hard on the freezer door. It hurt so bad; I was hysterically crying! Now I have a huge lump on my head. Lovely!

I am off to go finish all my laundry! Not sure what my plans are for the rest of the weekend. I really want to go see Paul Van Dyke perform in Central Park but it depends on this weather! If not I’ll just dance in my room to his music and pretend. Haha yes I have dance parties by myself all the time. Good exercise right? What spontaneous exercises do you do in your own home?

Have a good night!

I don't do any exercise at home, I need to be motivated at them gym. I'm far to lazy at home to do that!
    Whatever happened to the boyfriend?

spontaneous exercises? hmm – sometimes i randomly just decided to whip out pushups — just to see how many i can do… normally, it's game over after like 5 :)

Oh those dang drunk munchies. I can't believe you were up and going to the gym the morning after drinking! I'm useless. I have a set of weights so I can always get in an upper body workout, ab work, and I sometimes do tae bo dvds.

It's cold in the midwest too – feels like October!

Hope your head feels better and you get your laundry done! :D

Aww I'm jealous of the cold weather! It was 113 here yesterday. Ouch!

I always cook the oats on the stove and then put them in the pb jar afterward. Oats always explode when I make them in the microwave!

I hope your head feels better. Oww! :(

It never occured to me that the 'oats in jar' were cooked IN the jar! Ah, good to know.

    I love Chinese food…24/7. Hehe :)

In regard to your question- yup, will be in NY in October (and can't WAIT!) Trying to organise a blogger meet-up- any recommendations for restaurants?

Insideiamstilldancing: I think other people cook the oats first and then pour them in the jar! I had no clue which was right so I just cooked them in there and they exploded! Oh well, it still worked!

I will get back to you with some restaurant suggestions!

Nicci: It has 6% alcohol and also has caffeine so I like it if I want to drink but feel tired. I think it has guarana and ginseng.

Oh. I have dance parties ALL the time. Such great exercise and no one can make fun of me if I'm by myself!

Sparks looks SO good! I'm all about the alcohol/energy drink combo because drinking makes me TIRED anymore. That's why I LOVE Grape Bombs!!
