Drinks, Core Fusion, Whole Foods=Fun!

Look at the cool new kitchen gadget I got!

It is the Biggest Loser Rice Cooker and Steamer. I cashed in my points from a survey company and chose this!

I have not tried it yet but you can cook everything from chicken, rice, fish, and veggies. It should be a nice alternative to cooking veggies in the microwave! I will do a review on it once I give it a try!

Friday

I got out of work at 4:00 on Friday and had plans to take a 5:30 Core Fusion class at the downtown location. There is a small gym in that location so I figured I could do some cardio since I had so much extra time. I got there and the person behind the desk told me I was very early. I told him I was going to use the gym first. He told me that I could not use it because it is only for people staying at the hotel! I was very surprised by this, especially since I used the elliptical on Tuesday for a half hour. They definitely never mentioned it when they showed me around the first time I was there. You would think it would be okay being that the membership price is very high!

I was originally considering joining Core Fusion for 2 months and putting my membership to New York Sports Club on hold during that time. I liked that I still had the option of doing some cardio in the Exhale gym. Now I’m not sure if I would put NYSC on hold or not. I guess I could make myself run or walk outside if I wanted to save some money! I am still deciding though. It is very expensive but I would love to get nice and toned in time for my sister’s wedding in August!

After I was told I could not use the gym, I left and decided to go to my other gym and do some cardio because I still had a hour before Core Fusion. I did a half hour on the elliptical and walked back over to Exhale. The class was amazing on Friday. There were only 2 other girls and 1 guy who worked there taking the class. I loved the personal attention I received during the whole class. The teacher was one of the best ones I’ve had yet. She was very upbeat and funny. I really want to go back every Friday so I can take her class again!

I went home after class and picked up a 12-pack of Bud Light to relax with the boy.

I only have 1 other picture from Friday night!

Beer and ice cream? Fine with me! I think I ended up having 4 or 5 beers so I was pretty tipsy! We ended up eating cold leftover pasta around midnight and had a Skinny Cow Cookies N Cream sandwich for dessert! Fun!

Saturday

I had plans to go to Core Fusion Sport at 1:15. I decided to bring the boy along since I had a guest pass from purchasing the Core Fusion DVD:

It was very tough getting him out of bed to work out but he was happy after he finished the class!

I made an omelet before leaving for class. It was 1 egg and 1 egg white in a whole wheat tortilla.

I was a little nervous about Core Fusion Sport since I heard it was much more challenging than Core Fusion Open! I am happy I tried it because it was a great workout! We used a weighted ball for most of the class and did everything one could possibly do holding a ball. We also used a resistance band for abs and butt work. The class involved a little more cardio than CF Open which I liked. If I join, I will definitely take Sport at least once a week! It was tough but felt great! I am incredibly sore today! The boy loved the class too. He did better than I thought he would! He’s had tons of knee operations but he was able to do almost everything.

Today is the last day of my week pass but I am taking the day off because my legs can not handle it another day!We were right near Whole Foods after the class so we decided to have some lunch! I forgot my camera so here are some nice phone pictures for your enjoyment:

Spinach, broccoli, carrots, baked tofu, mushrooms, feta cheese, artichokes, green beans, and edamame!

With a Trilogy Synergy Kombucha on the side!

We walked in Central Park for about an hour after lunch. It was such a nice day and there was so much going on in the park. My legs could not handle the hills for long so we went home after a while.

We had plans to go to Melanie’s sister’s 21st birthday party at night. We were still pretty full from lunch but knew we should eat something before drinking! We share a bag of edamame.

We also snacked on chips and salsa while getting ready.

We went to Melanie’s house first for some drinks. There was lots of yummy blog food there such as Cape Cod Chips, Sonny & Joe’s hummus, Mary’s Gone Crackers, and more. I snacked on a little bit of everything. We went to a bar after and had lots of drinks!

I had a delicious POMtini and a few beers.

We went to a Karaoke bar after. We got our own private room. 15 people, 4 pitchers of beer, and 2 microphones led to fun and craziness!

I do not remember much after that :) Very good night!

It is 2:00 in the afternoon now so I am about to go wake up the hungover boy and make us some brunch! Have a nice Sunday!

That's so annoying about the gym policy! At least you still got a great workout, though :)
