Hi, my name is Missy and I am a gum addict. I know it is bad and I hate eating chemicals every day but it is just one thing that I am not able to quit right now! Whenever new gum comes out on the market, I need to try it just to see if it can top the gum that I am currently chewing. Sometimes the gum is the same but it gets new packaging. Sometimes just the packaging is enough to make me buy gum; as you saw last week when I bought the “Mystery” Stride gum. I was very excited when I received 3 new bottles of Dentyne to try the other day!
- Artic Chill
- Spearmint
- Peppermint
These flavors are not new but the packaging with the artwork is new. Here is a little more information about the new bottles:
Dentyne® premium badge edition bottles, a first in the U.S. gum category, come in twelve bold, badgy, limited edition designs for three flavors: Peppermint, Spearmint and Arctic Chill . The bottles, designed by artist Anthony Yankovic, are especially appealing to young adults who love socializing. Anthony previously produced limited edition designs for trend and badge-driven categories like Apparel, Skateboard and Snowboards.

Here are some close ups of the new bottles:
I personally don’t usually buy Dentyne because it is slightly too strong for me. It is great for fresh breathe though. I do love the idea of the pretty bottles. I think people would pick the package up just to check out the art work. I sat here and stared at the bottles for a while since there is so much to look at. I feel that younger kids would buy it just to show their friends. It is definitely a conversation piece. People would probably be more willing to share their gum just to show off the cool package. I think these bottles would also be cool to leave on my desk at work instead of the typical candy dish. People would stop to check them out and pop some in their mouth for some fresh breathe!
As far as the actual bottles go, I think a lot of people probably like that they hold 60 pieces. This saves them from having to buy a bunch of smaller packs at once. I personally stopped buying bottles like these. Being the gum addict that I am, I could go through half of the bottle at once if it is near me. I sometimes just pour out pieces without even thinking about it. I need pieces to be wrapped so that I can take out 5 to bring to work and limit myself to just those pieces. Other people that do not have my chain-chewing issue would probably be fine with the package!

The bottles are very different than gum packaging you normally see! Maybe they’re giving up on the pretty girls and kissing commercials they used to use.

Oh goodness, I am definitely a fan of the artwork on the gum container!! It’s busy, but interesting. Best thing ever is that it holds so much gum! hahah
[Reply]
muahah I would leave this on my work desk and offer co-workers my gum.
I’m not sure they’d all appreciate the artwork though (I work mostly with dudes) hehehh

Bottle – cool. Artwork – unneccessary
[Reply]
I’d keep it in my car in the drink cup holder for unexpected emergencies!

I think it’s better than half the packaging out there.

Those are definitely funky gum bottles! I, personally, like the spearmint best but I’m not picky about my gum. I don’t usually keep a jar of candy or gum at my desk, but this looks like a handy one to have around.

As far as the designs on the bottle go, the one with the cat on the drums is my fav. And it’s spearmint too! Destiny.
[Reply]
Oh wait, that’s a piano not the drums. Ok, I’m done commenting now. Also, I tweeted this.

This bottle would be used to remind my boyfriend that garlic and onions are the main staples of our diet, yes, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have to watch our breath. I would shake the bottle at him anytime he came near me.
[Reply]
I love gum too! I do not usually buy the bottles…I always wonder if they will take up too much room in my purse. I like the new looks of these.

I’m such a gum junkie– it’s terrible! heh
hope youre having a terrific day lovely lady

I gotta say, I don’t chew gum. Not because I don’t like it, but because of the sorbitol. Now, give me some non-sugarfree gum (like Bubbalicious or Juicy Fruit) and I’m all over it! Mmm, or gum balls! I guess that’s the one good thing about having IBS, I am sensitive to sweeteners so I don’t eat them often. Wow, ONE GOOD THING!

I discovered last year that even non sugar-free gums have aspartame
I wondered why my tummy still hurt and did some research. Very frustrating.

The artwork is so cool!
[Reply]
I’m not a huge fan of the artwork. I guess I prefer something more traditional
[Reply]
I would keep the gum either in my car or on my desk at work for when my mouth wants something to chew. and share with friends who came into my office too of course
[Reply]
I definitely like the gum…. but my thoughts on the artwork – it’s kinda ugly. I know that’s mean!

i think these bottles are great cuz they are reusable, and don’t create more trash! i would totally carry around snacks in my purse in it (i.e. trail mix, etc)

and socially, i’d chew gum to avoid the snack attack!
[Reply]
I’m already a big fan of Dentyne gum, so there isn’t much they can do to make me buy their gum since I already do
However, I haven’t seen their new packaging in stores yet and would love to see them in person!

Have you ever tried SPRY gum? No sugar…much better than traditional gums. SOld at Whole Foods and other health food store. Expensive, but worth it.

[...] « Dentyne Premium Bottle Giveaway! [...]
I think the artwork on the bottles definitely makes them more attractive and more likely to buy. However I would think they are a bit big to be carrying around in my purse. I would probably leave the bottle on my desk at work or at home. It wouldn’t be something I would carry all over with me so that could be a flaw.
[Reply]
Love the bottle concept…so much easier than digging around my purse for a small pack. These wouldn’t take up much room at all on my work desk.
[Reply]
i’m still on the hunt for that stride mystery gum! i love the bottle its for sure gawjuss
