Cookies and Clouds at Cupoladua Oven!

Before I get started on a product review, I need to talk about the smoothie I am drinking right now! Remember my post about the expired apples at Muscle Maker Grill? Well the company found my blog and left me a very nice comment:

Missy-

Thank you for your great review about our Muscle Maker Grill at 92 8th Avenue in Chelsea, NYC. Your blog has lots of great healthy lifestyle info and the healthy lifestyle is what Muscle Maker Grill provides. We always aim to please our customers and we are incredibly sorry about the expired fruit. If you would like, come in and try a fruit protein smoothie on us.

We also have a location at 10 Murray Street in Tribeca, NYC and 20 in New Jersey.

Thank You-

Muscle Maker Grill

I really love when companie redeem themselves from poor customer service. It shows that they really care about their customers. I decided today would be the perfect day to pick up my smoothie because I went to an intense spin class at 7:00 am with Caronae. I chose the Fresh Strawberry Banana protein smoothie. It is one of the higher calorie smoothies there (392) but it just sounded the most appealing to me! I was wondering how the calories could be so high for a smoothie until I saw the size of one!

I know you can’t tell from the picture but it was huge!! I only drank half of it so far and I am stuffed! It believe it is made with whey isolate, fruit, nonfat yogurt, and ice. It is delicious and definitely the perfect breakfast to refuel with after a crazy spin class!

Cupoladua Oven Review!

A few days ago I received 2 products to try out from a company called Cupoladua Oven.

They sent me Chocolate Cashew Cupola Cookies and Parmesan Pink Peppercorn Cupola Clouds.

I tried the Cupola Cookies first.

They are gluten free, 10 calories per cookie, and are made with no refined sugars or trans fats. I had a feeling the cookies would taste like cardboard but I was pleasantly surprised. They were a bit airy but they had a nice cocoa flavor and had a few small chocolate chips in the middle. They are a great little treat for when a chocolate craving occurs! I love that you can eat 10 cookies for just 100 calories! They are perfect for someone like me who just likes to munch and munch at night out of boredom.

I like the short ingredient list as well. I think I would definitely purchase these again. They would also be a great addition to Greek yogurt and oatmeal! Any cookie that is just 10 calories is okay in my book.

Next I tried the Cupola Parmesan Pink Peppercorn Clouds.

I had no idea what to expect with these. They reminded me of oyster crackers.

They had a slight cheesy flavor and were also very airy. I think they would be a great addition to soup or on top of a salad. The website also recommends enjoying them with these wines: Champagne, Chardonnay, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Zinfandel. Sounds good to me!

These are just 4 calories per piece and are also gluten free. Cupoladua Oven also makes Espresso Walnut cookies, Chai Pistachio cookies, and Smoked Gouda clouds. I would love to try the other varieties! Their products can be found online and at several health food stores.

1) Do you prefer 1 real cookie or 20 low calorie baby cookies?

For me I prefer the 20 cookies just because I enjoy munching. Put a real cookie in front of me and I will still want 5 more of them!

2) How would you eat the Cupola Chocolate Cashew cookies?
I enjoyed them alone but still want to try them in ice cream and yogurt!

Don’t forget to enter to win the Core Fusion Pilates Plus DVD!

  • 392 is way less scary than some smoothie places’ counts.. I’m pretty sure I’ve read that one from Smoothie King can have 1000+ calories- yiiikes.

    Those cookies are the cutest!

  • free smoothie SCORE! thats so nice of them to contact you! wow, great cusomer service and I can tell that IS huge!!

I think I would rather have 1 real cookie…the thought of eating 20 low cal or low fat ones sounds appealing, but afterwards I am never satisfied the way i am after eating the real thing

  • 10 calorie cookies? Really?! Are they like meringues?

It’s hard to say without trying those cookies, but I think I’d prefer one “real” cookie. But I think that your idea about crushing the cookies in yogurt or ice cream is great too!

  • i have that protein smoothie palce by me in tribeca! i have been there before! pretty sweet deal! they must have google alerts!

I think those cookies look like merengues. airy and crunchy at the same time!
I would probably enjoy the savory ones more and enjoy them with hot soup.
but at the moment my belly is FULL of thai food and the thought of soup right now is gag inducing LOL

  • Yep, that class was definitely intense! I had a giant bowl of oats with everything in it afterwards. :)

Those products sound good! A lot of health/diet cookies don taste like cardboard so I would be suspicious too, but I trust you, so I’ll have to try them. I think that some of the time I’d rather have the big cookie and some of the time a bunch of littler ones. Depends if I’m in a “munching” mood or a “real thing” mood.

  • How nice of them to offer you a smoothie!!
I am jealous of all the cool food you review! I love Parmesan flavored anything. I always prefer low calorie things because I like to eat a lot of volume!
