Chocolate Tortilla Chips Should Taste Good!

I finally got back to the gym today after not going all weekend! I did 35 minutes on the elliptical.

Stats:

Calories Burned: 267
Maximum Heart Rate: 175
Average Heart Rate: 154

I am also going to either go to Kickboxing after work or do my Core Fusion Body Sculpt DVD. I am going to decide on the way home from work!

I got back to the office and had some lunch!

Tuna, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Mustard, Laughing Cow Cheese, and Cucumbers on an Arnold’s Sandwich Thin!

I decided to taste some of my new chips to go with the sandwich! I brought Chocolate Tortilla Chips from Food Should Taste Good!

As soon as I received these, I was very curious as to what chocolate tortilla chips would taste like! I thought it was a weird combination but I was wrong! They were delicious!

The first bite tasted like a normal tortilla chip. They were salty with a nice crunch to them. After a few more chips, I tasted a little chocolate flavor. It was not strong at all which I think made them especially good!

From the website:

Semi-sweet chocolate and cocoa offer a sweet balance that pairs perfectly with our chips natural corn flavor. They are as great for anytime snacking as they are in a creative dessert- try crumbling them over ice cream!

Recommended Accompaniments:

Apple Butter
Strawberry Preserves

I will definitely try both of those with the chips since I happen to have them at home! They could be good crumbled in yogurt too! They have some impressive nutrition stats:

Serving Size: 15 Chips
Calories: 140
Total Fat: 7g
Saturated Fat: 1g
Trans Fat: 0g
Cholesterol: 0mg
Sodium: 80mg
Total Carbohydrate: 17g
Dietary Fiber: 3g
Sugars: 4g
Protein: 2g

Ingredients:

Stone Ground Corn, High Oleic Sunflower Oil and/or Safflower Oil, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Powder (Sugar, Chocolate), Evaporated Cane Juice, Corn Branm, Dutch Powder, Sea Salt

They are also Gluten Free, All Natural, and Not Genetically Modified. I would buy these again and next time try them with apple butter like the website suggests!

Since they were more salty than sweet, I was still craving chocolate after lunch! I happened to have this lovely treat in my desk!

YUM! I have also been snacking on a Blueberry Z-Bar all day!

I made a cup of hot chocolate as well. I need to stop all this snacking because I have to wear a bikini next weekend!

I am going to Florida with my parents April 9th to 12th. It was actually decided last week which is why I have not mentioned it. We are going to Key West for 3 days and South Beach for 1 day.

I am very excited to get to the beach and get away from this yucky weather at least! Well.. I hope everyone has a nice night. I still have 40 emails to read from the weekend so I am off!
