Last night after work, I ended up skipping the gym. I really wanted to go since I had cake and a cupcake and felt gross. I ended up completely passing out on the train so I figured I should probably go home and rest. I was also slightly bribed to go home and hang out with my boyfriend instead! There was a hair iron involved in the bribe that I have been obsessing about ever since mine broke. Definitely a good bribe to get me to go right home!
Before I went home, I stopped into Balducci’s by my work. I heard yesterday that they were going out of business! I could not believe it! It is packed in there every time I go! I walked in last night and it was completely empty! It said all groceries were 45% off. The only thing left was baby food and yogurt! I grabbed about 10 different yogurts and went to the cashier. She told me that dairy does not count as groceries! To me, grocery shopping includes yogurt! Weird! I put them all back and went home. I am still very sad that they are closing. It was a great place to go for lunch!
I got home and saw Egg Buddy hanging out on my bed!!
I love him!
The boy and I usually get rum but we decided to switch it up to vodka. We got Grey Goose since it was a work night and we did not want hangovers!
So good for a change! You could barely taste the vodka at all. A little dangerous
Sorry to be boring but we decided on turkey wraps for dinner! We wanted something fast and easy. I also wanted to keep it light since I ate all that dessert and skipped the gym.
I brought out a new hummus to try! Cedar’s Heavenly Spiced Hommus!
They weren’t kidding when they said it was smooth and creamy!
I loved this flavor! I was a little nervous at first because the Sabra Supremely Spicy hummus is wayyy too hot for me. My mouth burns on fire. This had a tiny spice to it but was nothing I couldn’t handle. I loved how thick it was!
I added some of the hummus onto my wrap and ate it on the side for dipping my cucumbers and chips into.
The wrap also contained mustard, turkey, ham, American cheese, lettuce, cucumbers, and pickles.
For the side, we brought out some Cape Cod Parmesan & Roasted Garlic chips!
They were delicious! They had a slight garlic flavor that was not too over empowering as to where you would need a breath mint after. They were light and crunchy and perfect for dipping into hummus!
After dinner, we drank some more and relaxed for a while with the TV. It was very nice to get home at 7:00 instead of 8:45 for once. When I go to the gym at night, it seems like I have to eat dinner and go right to bed. I would love to try to get back into my morning gym routine but I have the hardest time getting out of bed sometimes! Maybe once the weather gets warmer!
I almost went to bed around 11:30 but the boy mentioned ice cream. I have issues turning down ice cream because it is my favorite thing in the world! I agreed and went in the kitchen. The evil light was flashing. Mouse #8 in the past 3 days! My poor boyfriend had to dispose of it right before we ate dessert! The maintenance people from our building can’t come till April 29th which is ridiculous. We called our landlord and let her know that we will be moving out within the month if she doesn’t do something about this. My roommate is going to look at a place today. I must get out of there!
Back to more enjoyable things…chocolate ice cream! We got some Turtle Mountain Chocolate Obsession ice cream to try!
This stuff was amazing! There were huge chunks of dark chocolate in it and the ice cream was so creamy and rich. I added some whipped cream of course!
We got to bed by 12:30..a little too late for me! I have such issues waking up in the morning!
Around 4 am, I woke up screaming at the top of my lungs! I had a nightmare that a mouse ran into my room and was crawling all over my feet. I was trying to scream for help in my dream but nothing would come out! Finally in real life, I woke up screaming and crying. I kicked my boyfriend in the leg really hard when I popped out of bed. He started hugging me and asking what happened. I yelled, “I don’t know! I don’t know! There is a mouse in here!!” He turned on the lights to prove there was no mouse but it was so scary! My apartment is making me go insane!
He wanted a snack after all of that drama so he pulled out a Key Lime Pie Larabar.
I was not hungry but had a little piece so that I can decide which flavor is my favorite! I did not love this flavor but I am not a huge fan of lime or lemon flavored bars. He loved it though!
Luckily I fell back asleep until it was time to get up for work! I had a crazy morning after all of that!
I left my house at 8:00 this morning, the same time I leave every day. I got on the train and it sat at every stop for 10 minutes. It was seriously soo slow. I usually get reception on my cell phone at 2 different subway stops kind of close to my work. I was going to try calling my boss until I realized I forgot my cell phone! I did not make it to my desk till 9:45 in the morning! I usually get there around 8:50!!
Luckily my boss was very nice about it. As soon as I saw her she said, “Train?” I said yes and apologized and she said it was completely fine. It was just so stressful not having my phone, especially when it took almost 2 hours to get to work!
Once I got settled in, I brought out some breakfast.
- Honey Oikos Yogurt
- 2 Eggland’s Best Hard Boiled Eggs
- Zoe’s Cinnamon Raisin Granola
- Tazo Awake Tea
Lovin this breakfast! I went to the gym at lunch and did 30 minutes on the elliptical. I took it slow because I am not feeling that great today.
I originally planned on a turkey wrap for lunch but my friend got me grilled chicken leftovers from a meeting. I would have liked to take it home and done something exciting with it for dinner but I am not going right home after work. I decided to just eat it plain for lunch and save my wrap for tomorrow!
I brought some Harvest of Heaven Ocean Spring veggies for the side!
Nice alternative to my wrap even if the chicken was plain! It was fun to eat at my desk. Yes, I picked up the chicken with my fingers haha.
My planned afternoon snack is Funky Monkey Carnaval Mix!
I am meeting Dori there at 6:30! I will let you know how it is tomorrow!
Keep those votes coming in for your favorite salsa recipe!! Right now the Southwestern Spicy Meatloaf and Morning Kick Breakfast Burrito are in a tie for 1st place with 12 votes! The Baked Buffalo Bites are close with 8 votes! I will pick the winner tomorrow morning!
