Celebrity Spotting and Falafel Chips!

I want to start out by thanking you all for your kind words about my grandmom. It really meant a lot to me every time I got a comment wishing her a speedy recovery. Luckily she is doing well today. She is in the hospital still but able to talk and sit up in bed. She promised my sister she would be at her wedding in August so at least she is positive about the whole thing.

In other news, I walked by Heidi Klum yesterday!! I was walking around during my lunch break and was about to head back into my office. All of the sudden I saw these 2 guys snapping pictures. I did not think anything of it until they started running across the street to get more pictures! I decided to turn around and follow them to see if it was someone famous.

Finally I heard someone say it was Heidi Klum! I was so excited. She was with her little boy and another mom with her daughter. I followed them all the way to Pastis where they were going to eat lunch. I tried to snap a picture with my camera phone without her noticing!

Okay, I can’t get this picture to move to the left for some reason! Anyway, she is the 3rd person in the picture (in front of the black dress girl). It was very exciting!

Breakfast

I brought Jay Robb Vanilla Brown Rice Protein to try.

It was good at first but then the vanilla flavor was a little too strong for me. I probably would not purchase it again. I also had an Amazing Grass bar!

I ate lunch outside and had the last of my Lightlife Smart Bologna with Laughing Cow and American cheese.

I had Crunchmaster Sweet Onion Crackers on the side!

These were delicious!

Later in the afternoon, my sweet tooth hit!

Apple and dark chocolate= perfect solution. I tried to just have a bite of the chocolate but I don’t think it is possible for me to have chocolate in my desk and not eat it!

I got home around 8 and had a wonderful package waiting for me…

Falafel Chips from Flamous Brands!

About Falafel Chips

People have been growing chickpeas (falafel’s main ingredient) for over 20,000 years, making them one of the early staples of the human diet and first agricultural plants on planet Earth. Falafels are 100% vegan fried patties of spiced chickpeas (also known as garbanzo beans) combined with spices and grains. Falafel patties are commonly served with fresh vegetables and Tahini sauce, or hot sauce. Falafel can also be served with hummus (creamy garbanzo sesame dip) or babaghanouge (roasted eggplant dip) either as a snack or as an appetizer

Falafel Chips™ are made from 100% vegetarian falafel patties; they are high in protein and fiber.

The chips were delicious! They looked like nachos but with a wonderful falafel like taste to them. They were so flavorful, crunchy, and perfect!

I ate some with hummus and then decided to make a real dinner with Lightlife Smart Tenders!

I cooked a few on the stove to add over a salad. I also had edamame, hummus, and more falafel chips!

Great dinner! I really enjoyed the Smart Tenders. They were very similar to real chicken in flavor and texture!

Dessert was the best thing ever.

A Boston Cream Oreo Holey Donut! Yummmmmm!!

This morning I went to spin again. I think I should have slept in because I was so tired and had no energy in class. I might be more productive when I go at night I think. I am definitely going to let myself sleep Tuesdays and Thursdays and go at night instead. So far going in the morning has done nothing for my weight (I actually gained), but I will be patient and do it a little longer. I know it is good for when I have plans at night but sleep is very important for me! We’ll see!

    OMG Heidi Klum?!

I am jealous of your donut – my samples arrived last week and I didn't get very exciting flavors (to me). Good thing I have the boyf to help me eat them! Considering my fave donut ever is Boston Cream I think I would pretty much die of happiness if oreos were added to the equation.
