Happy Friday! Today is an extra good day because it is my last day of work until January! I saved up lots of vacation days
I have absolutely no plans either other than a bunch of different gym classes I want to try. Should be a nice break.
Core Fusion!
Last night I met Dori at the Exhale Spa by my work. We took an amazing Core Fusion class! I know I say that every time but this one was especially challenging. Our teacher, Fred Devito, is the founder of Core Fusion and also the instructor in all of the Exhale DVDs!

Everything we did seemed very challenging but in a good way! I also seemed to be extra determined to go all out with the moves because of the way Fred teaches. It is obvious that he loves what he does and his enthusiasm is extremely motivating. Dori and I were both drenched and in pain after class! Love it! We plan to go again over the weekend as well.
Joshua Tree!
On Wednesday after finding the January issue of SHAPE, I decided it was necessary to skip the gym and go celebrate! I met 2 friends for happy hour at the Joshua Tree! I went there once before and loved it!
We got a bucket for the table.

We also started off with some edamame. I remembered from last time how delicious the edamame was so I told everyone that we had to get it again!

For my main course, I got the Grilled Portabello Cap Salad.

Fresh mozzarella cheese and piquillo peppers, finished with balsamic reduction and extra virgin olive oil.

I loved this salad! It was perfect since I was already kind of full from all of the edamame! The mozzarella and mushrooms were so good together!
I had another beer..or two
Then everyone was debating about dessert or dessert shots. I liked the idea of a dessert shot!

We had Irish creams. Yum! We sat there for a while and the drunk munchies appeared so another bowl of edamame was ordered!

This time it was half the size as the first order! Probably a good thing though!
I had one more shot! Better than the chocolate brownie sundae that was almost ordered!

Very fun dinner! I pretty much stared at my magazine the whole way home because I still can’t believe I’m in there. Very weird to me but exciting!
I will leave you with the cupcakes I had to walk by all day yesterday!

So cute! I had one of the little Chanukah ones! Yummy!
Have a good weekend!

Those cupcakes are adorable! I really like Bud Lime. Actually, I like any beer with citrus, like Sam Adams Summer Ale or Bluemoon. Yum! Can we go to the bar now?

Not until JAN! What books are you going to read? Oh! I am a little jealous of your fusion class. I haven’t done any yoga at all (besides snatching a few poses here and there)…
If I had 2 weeks off…what would I do with myself? Read magazines (I am now addicted to BITCH! Read up! http://thespecialktreatment.wordpress.com/k-crazes/) sit in a cafe and people watch, learn to poach an egg…
finish unpacking?
