Hope you are having a nice weekend in this cold and snow!! I had a fun Saturday despite running all over the streets of NYC without an umbrella! My handy dandy Duane Reade umbrella decided to break right when I arrived in the city! I still managed to survive and make the best of it!
I started my day off with some green juice.
I used:
- Kale
- Romaine
- Carrots
- Apple
- Ginger
- Cucumber
- Lemon
After chugging my juice, I headed into the city for a blog meetup! Ashley from Daily Goods was in town from Maryland so a bunch of us met up to have lunch with her!
We went to a cute vegetarian restaurant by Union Square called Curly’s. Somehow we managed to fit 7 girls at a 4 person table! It was a great way to get to know each other at least!
At the table:
Megan from Megzz Wins At Life, Ashley from Daily Goods, my sister from FitEater, Kailey from SnackFace, Brittney from Thindulge, and Lauryn from Mastering Manhattan.
I arrived a bit late so I quickly ordered an omelet with portabella mushrooms and mixed vegetables. It came with a salad and whole grain toast on the side.

The omelet was very good! You can’t tell from the picture but there were tons of veggies in side! I would love to come back to the restaurant to try some of the delicious looking salads and wraps I saw on the menu! The other girls got veggie burgers and tofu dishes that looked great! A Peanut Butter Bomb was also ordered for the table!
It was a great time chatting with everyone and meeting some new bloggers! Here is a picture of us after eating! You can tell how lovely the weather was outside!
Lauryn, Kailey, Me, Kim, Megan, Brittney, and Ashley!
After the meet up, my sister and I went to Starbucks to grab a hot coffee since we were both soaking wet. It started to snow while chatting! Yay!I headed home after and did 45 minutes on the elliptical. Once my workout was over, I got starving for dinner so my roommate, her friend, and I headed over to Cheeburger Cheeburger! It was a perfect place for dinner since it is so close by and has delicious, healthy food!
I was happy to see a new insert in the menu!
I still got a salad but it definitely made me feel good about eating there! ![]()
I got the Portabella Mushroom Salad. The best part about Cheeburger is the unlimited salad toppings!! I took full advantage:
- Cucumbers
- Carrots
- Kidney Beans
- Garbanzo Beans
- Guacamole
- 2 Onion Rings
- Feta Cheese
- Roasted Red Peppers
Delicious! We also got some fries with cheese sauce for the table. They have the best fries ever there.
We came home, drank vodka, watched Angels & Demons, and passed out! Fun day! I am off to go make some pancakes!
What are you doing today?

So sorry I couldn’t make it to the meetup! Ugh.
Just because it says all natural does not mean the animal was humanely treated. It just means they were given “natural” corn to eat. Especially if it’s Tyson. I’m glad you got the salad.
Omg the fries with cheese sauce!!!! I want!

I’m pretty sure– no, I am certain my favorite part of this post was the last sentence in which you successfully used the terms ‘vodka’ ‘angels and demons’ and ‘pancakes’, hehe

I hear Cheeburger Cheeburger is amazing!! I’ve never tried it, but my parents and brother ate there in Florida and raved about it.
I’m really curious about this “peanut butter bomb”. It sounds amazing to me, did I miss the explanation?? I’m obsessed with peanut butter so of course my eyes perked when I saw that
