A rainy Friday always seems like the perfect time to order a comforting, and not-so-healthy meal for lunch. My coworkers suggested Bill’s Bar & Burger in the Meatpacking District so I happily agreed!
Bill’s Burger in the MPD does not deliver so we left work for a few minutes and picked it up. I now know where to go next time I want to meet a business man! Hello! I was very tempted to have a beer while waiting on the food but I don’t think having beer breathe at my meeting just now would have been the smartest idea. Sigh…
I was originally going to order the veggie burger but called to ask about it and found out it was simply deep-fried chickpeas. Why not call it a falafel burger then? I really wanted to order sweet potato fries so I decided to skip the deep fried “veggie” burger. I went with the turkey burger on a multigrain bun instead. Probably not that much healthier but it seemed like the best option at the time.
I made the right choice! The turkey burger was delicious and the sweet potato fries (and steak fries) were both amazing. The burger was juicy, had a ton of flavor, and had some special dressing on it that was to die for!
This $15.00 lunch cannot become a weekly habit but sometimes a juicy burger and greasy fries are completely necessary on a day like today. Happy Friday!

I find that most veggie burgers are just fried pieces of crap. Restaurants try to pass them off as healthy options when they’re worse than burgers sometimes. I might have to take a trip to NYC to snap myself a business man!

SO jealous (of Dori, not the lunch).
I had leftover chili topped with spinach and diced avocado. Andrew makes good chili. It was a lovely rainy-day meal. And the beans continued to keep me warm throughout the rest of the afternoon….(Doh!)
