Yesterday’s breakfast was plain oats topped with cranberry almond granola. This is a problem posting yesterday’s good because I can’t remember what brand of granola it was!! I have bad short term memory!
I went to the gym at lunch and did 37 minutes on the elliptical.
Stats:
Calories Burned: 279
Average Heart Rate: 161
Maximum Heart rate: 220
Yeah, obviously not 220 but Mr. Polar does not like to cooperate very often. I emailed them again because I found one that tracks distance that I would like to exchange it for.
Lunch was tuna, hummus, mustard, lettuce, and cucumbers on Rudi’s Multigrain Oat bread!
I had some Salt & Pepper popchips on the side! Yumm!
I was not able to go to the gym after work because I had to pick up my race shirt and tag for the American Heart Associated Walk/Run tonight! Originally I was going to run the 5K with Dori but due to knee issues, she will no longer be joining me. I am still going to try to run it if no one can go with me. I did register my boyfriend last night so he if comes, I am just going to walk it with him. I did not train at all so I don’t mind just walking! I will know in a few hours if he will make it to New York on time!
After picking up my shirt, I met me roommate in the Upper East Side to look at an apartment. I was really hoping we would like it because I would LOVE to move to the city. The prices make it kind of impossible for me!
The apartment was not okay! I was not expecting much since the price was much lower than usual Manhattan apartments but this was not even possible to live in! We walked in and there was a small room. Then there was a loft which was supposed to be the 2nd bedroom. We had to climb up this scary ladder to get to the loft. Knowing me, I would come home drunk and break something every weekend. The loft was 5 feet high so we were not able to stand up in the room! Can you say claustrophobia?? The person who took the loft would basically be overlooking the 2nd person’s room! A girl needs some sort of privacy!
We even tried to negotiate and get a free month for $50.00 off but the woman would not budge. No thanks! My roommate is looking at another one in Forest Hills tonight so hopefully it is nice!
We decided to have dinner at the Tower Diner.
I got the usual-egg white omelet with mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and feta cheese!
With a ton of burnt home fries, just the way I like them!
I also had 2 slices of whole wheat toast with butter and strawberry jam. Yumm!
We got home and made some fruity cocktails of Crystal Lite, Vodka, and Strawberries!
I was craving some chocolate and did not take my vitamins yet for the day so I decided to try an Adora Calcium Supplement!
Adora Calcium in premium chocolate will change the way you think about calcium supplements. If you’ve been choking down calcium pills or chews that are chalky, sticky, or simply too big to swallow, then you are in for a real treat! Adora Calcium is made from all-natural chocolate – not a fake chocolate chew, but real, premium chocolate produced by a 129-year-old chocolate manufacturer. The flavor is rich and creamy with just a hint of sweetness and no bitter aftertaste. MMMM!!! Adora will make you Crave Your Calciumâ„¢.
An All-Natural Calcium Supplement-Only the finest ingredients go into each Adora Calcium chocolate disk.
- Rich dark chocolate, high in natural antioxidants
- Creamy milk chocolate, also a good source of antioxidants
- Highly-purified calcium carbonate that meets USP standards
- Vegetarian vitamin D and vitamin K
- Minimal added sugars
I tried the dark chocolate disk.
It was delicious! It was rich and perfect at satisfying my chocolate craving! This will definitely replace my usual huge Calcium/Vitamin D pill that is so hard to swallow!
Time for drink #2!
Okay, the calcium supplement helped my chocolate craving for about an hour but I knew there was ice cream in the freezer! My buzzed self walked on in and pulled out some sundae ingredients!
Hershey’s Syrup, Turtle Mountain Cookie Avalanche, and Whipped Cream!
I tried to stick with 1 serving of the ice cream!
It was still very enjoyable with all that whipped cream!!
I went to bed right after! Probably not so smart to eat right before bed. Sometimes I gotta satisfy my sweet tooth though!

Eeek – that loft/apartment sounds a little scary, for sure. I would so bed the one who came home inebriated and fell to her death while climbing up to her loft. lol
I SO want to try those chocolates! I’m wondering if they wouldn’t be as tempting for me to have around because they are ‘vitamins’ (but not really!)

While we’re discussing the Apartment Hunt, Adora Calcium, Ice Cream! | Missy Maintains matter, Taxes are also a concern for home-owners that are not applicable to renters of long term apartments. A home-owner will, over the course of time, be required to pay for housing loan payments, property taxes, insurance premiums, and maintenance costs. These can add up significantly, and the appreciation of the property in the real estate market may not make up for it.
