Amazing Meal, Workout Disaster, Diner Deliciousness!

I know you have all seen Amazing Grass products floating around the blogosphere.

I reviewed Amazing Grass Superfood and Energy Bars a few weeks ago. Well the company was kind enough to send me a few more products to try, along with a another great water bottle!

This time they send me 3 Amazing Meal products to try:

  • Pomegranate Mango Infusion
  • Chocolate Infusion
  • Original Blend

Amazing Meal is a powerful and satisfying blend of Green SuperFoods, plant based protein, phytonutrient rich fruits & vegetables, digestive enzymes and probiotics. The way Mother Nature intended…Organic, Raw and Delicious.

Yesterday before work, I decided to try the Chocolate Infusion.

Amazing Meal Chocolate Infusion is a powerful and satisfying blend of Green SuperFoods, plant based protein, phytonutrient rich fruits & vegetables, digestive enzymes and probiotics. For a nutritional breakdown see below.

  • 10 grams of complete protein, 6 grams of fiber in every serving.
  • Full spectrum of Green SuperFoods – wheat grass, barley grass, alfalfa & kale.
  • Organic Super Fruits – Goji & Açaí berries.
  • Great source of chlorophyll, antioxidants and essential fatty acids.
  • 100% whole food nutrition – no fillers or isolated vitamins.

I made the mistake of trying Amazing Grass for the first time with just water. I had to spit it out! This time, I blended it with a banana and skim milk.

It looked very good once it was ready!

I poured it in my wonderful water bottle and drank it on the way to work.

It was delicious! It barely had a grassy taste to it. It tasted more like a banana chocolate milkshake! This is definitely something I could drink every day!

Once I got to work, I tried to see if I could make it to lunch with just the drink. Yeah, didn’t happen! It held me over for about an hour but than I became a crazy snack monster!

First, I had my 2nd banana of the day. Gotta get that potassium in!

Then I had 4 prunes…need my iron :)

I was still starving so I had a Pistachio Pineapple Boomi Bar (amazing) with green tea.

I dug into lunch early too. I think I need to stick with my oats along with Amazing Grass for the perfect breakfast!

This morning I tried the Original Blend Amazing Meal.

Main Ingredients

Protein Blend – 15,000 mg
Organic Hemp Protein Powder, Organic Rice Protein
Greens Blend – 3,100 mg
Organic Wheat Grass, Organic Barley Grass, Organic Kale, Organic Alfalfa

This stuff really is amazing! I added a banana, skim milk, and scoop of peanut butter.

Apparently my blender has a hole in it!

Antioxidant Fruit & Vegetable Blend – 2,800 mg
Organic Açaí, Organic Carrot, Organic Blueberry, Organic Goji, Organic Rose Hips, Organic Maca, Organic Banana

Organic Flax Seed Powder – 500 mg
Digestive enzyme blend – 20 mg

Other Ingredients: Organic Guar Gum, Organic Madagascar Vanilla

It still came out great!

This one had a slightly more grassy taste to it than the chocolate but was still very good! I definitely plan on purchasing some big jugs of Amazing Meal once I run out of samples!

I will try the Pomegranate Mango flavor tomorrow and let you know how it is! I ran out of bananas today!

Lunch yesterday was another turkey and ham wrap. Sorry to be boring!

I added red peppers which gave it a great new kick.

I was sick of turkey for about a week but it did not last too long! That just looks way too good!

I had some more tortilla chips on the side!

After that, I was still not satisfied! I really do need a big breakfast or else I snack all day! I walked outside in the 100 degree weather and decided to treat myself to some Lite Choice.

1/2 Chocolate Caramel and 1/2 French Vanilla. After that, I finally stopped snacking until dinner!

Workout

I went to the gym after work for Total Body Conditioning. It was a substitute, this girl who is a personal trainer at the gym. She started the class 10 minutes late because she could not get her iPod to work. I got to the class 5 minutes early so that was a 15 minute waste right there.

Normally we use 2 sets of weights, a weighted bar, and a mat. She told us to put everything away. She said we would be using our own body as weights. I thought, “Okay, maybe it will be like Core Fusion.” Haha, not even close.

We did some jumping jacks, high knee steps, and mountain climbers to start. We also jogged around the room in a circle a few times. That was fine. It got my heart rate up a little.

Then we got in lines and went back and forth from wall to wall doing random moves. We had to hop and one foot. Then we had to skip. Then we were told to hold hands and kick. I refused to do this because I did not want to hold 2 people’s sweaty hands. I felt like I was in kindergarten again.

We did these side step things and I had to add my own squat so I could feel anything. At one point, we did biceps, triceps and shoulder raises without weights. I tried to pick up a weight and she told me not to!

It was a pretty good waste of what was supposed to be a 55 minute class. A few other girls agreed with me and just left the class when she told us to hold hands. Hmm, I really hope her personal training sessions are better or else I feel bad for those wasting hundreds of dollars.

Today I am sitting here staring at the Core Fusion website. I felt so great after just a week of those classes. I know it is rare that New York Sports Club classes are as bad as last night but CF just beats every class I’ve ever taken. I looked forward to each hour long class at Core Fusion and felt amazing after. My sister’s wedding is in 3 weeks so I am highly considering buying a 2 month membership. I would like to look good in her pictures! It is a lot more money than my gym but might be worth it to me! What to do, what to do!

Dinner

I met the rommy after the gym and went to the Tower Diner. I said screw my no drinking during the week rule and had a beer. Probably not too smart since I had a bad workout but ya know…

I started off with a side salad.

I got a whole wheat wrap with portobello mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese.

It was SO good. Really what I’d call the perfect wrap!

Dessert……

Don’t worry, I only had 1! I was very close to taking a huge bite out of both though!

I am going to catch up on blogs and keep debating about Core Fusion! Have a good one!
