Good Morning. It is finally sunny out
I will recap back to yesterday’s eats and 5K!
I made some wonderful oats when I got to work!
Archer Farms Blueberry Almond Oats with Barney Butter, skim milk, and a banana!
I went to the gym at lunch and did 38 minutes on the elliptical.
Stats:
Calories Burned: 293
Maximum Heart Rate: 179
Minimum Heart Rate: 154
I got back to my desk and had a nice simple lunch.
A plain Chobani and a Fullbar!
I am still not a huge fan of the texture of the Fullbars but it kept me satisfied for about 2 hours.
I was craving some chocolate later in the afternoon so I pulled out my fav…Chocolate Chip Z-Bar!
That was not quite enough, or I just wanted something to much on so I brought out some Sonoma Crisps!
These were sooo good! I will do a proper review once I try all 4 bags, but they were the perfect sweet snack to munch on! Yum!
After work, I met the boy at the American Heart Association Wall Street 5K Walk/Run. Originally I was going to try to run the 5K with Dori but she was not able to go because of her knee injury. The boy came instead but he can’t run either because of knee problems so we just walked it.
There were tons of people there!
It was so pretty walking by the river. We passed by the Statue of Liberty
We finished the walk in 57 minutes. They said my name and where I was from on the loudspeaker! It was exciting haha.
I honestly don’t know if I could have run for that long! It was cold and windy and I have issues breathing outside when it is cold! I hope to train for a 5K in the near future but I definitely was not prepared to run last night. A few people ran the whole thing in 15 minutes!! How is that possible?!!
The best part was the free stuff after we finished!
Looks like I will be eating lots of wraps for the next few weeks!!
We decided to eat dinner at Chevy’s after!
They brought out the evil chip basket first!
I definitely went overboard. They were too good to stop! The chips were thin and crispy and the salsa was chunky and so fresh! Yumm! We finished the whole basket in a matter of minutes!
I got a Corona to drink of course!
Corona #2 before my meal came out
I got the Shrimp Ceviche Salad: Grilled Shrimp and Avocado over a tortilla shell and bed of lettuce with Apple-Chipotle Vinaigrette.
I asked for the Salsa Vinaigrette dressing instead because it was a lot lower in calories and I already did enough damage with the chips! The server looked at me funny when I asked for the substitution which really pissed me off. The salad came out with the Apple-Chiptole still on it and the salsa on the side! I did not send it back because I did not want to be annoying but I thought I made myself clear!! Oh well, it was still good! I just hate when my salad is smothered in dressing!
The boy got the Chicken Fajitas!
I stole his grilled onions and some refried beans and added them to my salad.
Check out the huge tortilla shell that was hiding under my salad!
At first I put the shell to the side so I would not eat it. Of course I ate the whole thing at the end of my salad to scoop every last bit up! It was delicious! I was would definitely order it again!
We decided to order a few shots before we went home!
The girly Kamikaze on the right was mine!
We split a Blue Moon too! Yes, slight alcoholics!
It was one long subway ride home after all of that! Very fun night!
Apartment News
We had a mouse this morning…that is not really news though! My roommate looked at another apartment in Forest Hills and said it was nice! It is less than we pay now too
I am going to look at it tomorrow after work so I will keep you updated!
